UFOs and Aliens in the News

2024 - For decades people have followed and speculated about UFO sightings, media coverage, coverups, impending disclosure, reverse engineering, physical evidence, physical evidence, and more. To date nothing has been publicly stated energizing conspiracy theories. Nothing matters without physical proof of merging human and extraterrestrial agendas - the Master Plan. The human biogenetic experiment and its extraterrestrial influences concluded in 2008. Objects seen are either projected illusion or drones left behind to monitor the planet so the simulation of reality doesn't end prematurely. In the end, artificial intelligence will answer bring the truth.

Filtering Out Alien Signals From Earth Noise Just Got a Whole Lot Easier   Science Alert - July 30, 2023

A new method for recognizing radio signals traveling through interstellar space could narrow the search considerably. Radio waves emitted by an alien civilization living on the far side of the Milky Way would have to travel 100,000 light-years through interstellar space to reach Earth. These radio waves would be scattered as they encountered the turbulent, ionized plasma of interstellar space. This kind of disturbance is unique to interstellar space travel and has been previously observed among rapidly rotating stars called pulsars. This scattering produces a distinctive 'twinkle' called 'diffractive scintillation' where the radio waves start to interfere with each other.

Avi Loeb has recovered 50 tiny spherical iron fragments from the bottom of the Pacific Ocean that he claims may be material from an interstellar alien spaceship. Loeb is linking his finding with the passage of a fireball in January 2014. The meteor was recorded as traveling faster than most meteors and eventually broke up over the South Pacific Ocean near 'Papua New Guinea'.

Why aliens were in the news so much in 2022   Salon - December 26, 2022

2022 was an interesting year overall for the search for extraterrestrial life. Once considered the realm of cranks and fringe conspiracy theorists, respectable institutions and scientists - including the Pentagon and physicists like Loeb, a Harvard University professor who specializes in astrophysics and cosmology - took a sober and serious look at stray bits of evidence that might point to extraterrestrial intelligence at work in the universe.

10 things we learned about UFOs and aliens (or the lack thereof) in 2022   Space.com - December 26, 2022

This year, humanity has continued attempts to answer the ultimate question: Are we alone in the universe? Now, with the most powerful telescope ever placed into orbit set to investigate alien worlds, the search for life among the stars has never seemed more promising. Despite some novel research ideas and a renewed commitment to the investigation of UFOs, however, 2022 can be characterized by steps forward and frustrating setbacks.

US military reported 'several hundred' UFO sightings in 2022, says Pentagon   Interesting Engineering - December 26, 2022
Personnel in the U.S. military reported 'several hundred' sightings of unidentified flying objects (UFOs) in 2022, officials of the new office set up at the Pentagon told Associated Press. Key lawmaker warns at UFO hearing: 'Unidentified aerial phenomena are a potential national security threat'   CNN - May 17, 2022

Key lawmakers warned at a House hearing on Tuesday that unidentified aerial phenomena - popularly known as UFOs - must be investigated and taken seriously as a potential threat to national security. The event marked the first congressional public hearing on UFOs in decades, a high-profile moment for a controversial topic that has long been relegated to the fringes of public policy. For many lawmakers and intelligence and military personnel working on unexplained aerial phenomena, the bigger concern with the episodes is not that alien life is visiting Earth, but rather that a foreign adversary like Russia or China might be fielding some kind of next-generation technology in American airspace that the United States doesn't know about.

Spooky Discovery on Mars Looks Just Like an Alien Doorway   Science Alert - May 12, 2022

One of the most recent snaps beamed back from the Curiosity rover on Mars has revealed a rather interesting feature in the rocks: what looks to be a perfectly carved out doorway nestling in the Martian landscape. The doorway doppelganger is so eerily convincing we're almost tempted to start believing that it leads to a little hideaway for Martians, or perhaps a portal to another Universe entirely. We're also getting 'tunnel to the center of the planet' vibes from this. At the very least, the picture and the geological feature it's captured would seem to be enough to inspire a science-fiction movie or two.

Researchers made a new message for extraterrestrials   Scientific American - April 6, 2022

An updated communication could be beamed out for space alien listeners in hopes of making first contact. Every interstellar message must address two fundamental questions: what to say and how to say it. Nearly all the messages that humans have broadcast into space so far start by establishing common ground with a basic lesson in science and mathematics, two topics that are presumably familiar to both ourselves and extraterrestrials. If a civilization beyond our planet is capable of building a radio telescope to receive our message, it probably knows a thing or two about physics. A far messier question is how to encode these concepts into the communique. Human languages are out of the question for obvious reasons, but so are our numeral systems. Though the concept of numbers is nearly universal, the way we depict them as numerals is entirely arbitrary. This is why many attempts, including 'Beacon in the Galaxy', opt to design their letter as a bitmap, a way to use binary code to create a pixelated image.

UFOs left radiation burns, brain and nervous system damage, and unaccounted for pregnancies new Pentagon report claims   Live Science - April 7, 2022

1,500 pages of UFO related research were just declassified as part of a FOIA request. Encounters with UFOs have reportedly left Americans suffering from radiation burns, brain and nervous system damage, and even "unaccounted for pregnancy," according to a massive database of U.S. government reports recently made public through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request. The database of documents includes more than 1,500 pages of UFO-related material from the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP) - a secretive U.S Department of Defense program that ran from 2007 to 2012. Despite never being classified as secret or top secret, the AATIP only became known to the public in 2017, when former program director Luis Elizondo resigned from the Pentagon and released several now-infamous videos of an unidentified aircraft moving in seemingly impossible ways to the media.

2022 could be a turning point in the study of UFOs   Space.com - April 6, 2022
Interest in UFOs continues to grow, both among scientists and government officials. In 2021, there was an upsurge in peculiar sightings reported, thanks to people with smartphones or other video gear that captured these strange glimmers in the sky. Could these unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP) be satellites, technology deployed by foreign governments, falling space junk or maybe even floating specialty balloons or purposely faked unidentified flying objects (UFOs)? Or could they be, well, aliens?

A Mysterious Papyrus Manuscript and a UFO Encounter in Ancient Egypt   Mysterious Universe - February 1, 2022

There have long been stories of visitors from other worlds showing themselves to the ancients. Such tales are often long lost to history, ancient events lost to the mists of time and only known through hints and clues left in the past. The idea that UFOs and aliens were seen and experienced back through history is nothing new, and there are various stories such as these, very often leaving us frustrated in the absence of any real answers. One such case is that of an ancient Egyptian papyrus that allegedly contained perhaps one of the oldest accounts of alien contact there is, but which has gone on to remain lost and much debated.

Germany is Using AI to Detect and Track UFOs   Mysterious Universe - February 1, 2022
While the U.S. government continues to argue about UFO research funding and limits it to military encounters, a university professor in Germany with a longtime interest in unidentified aerial phenomena has set up a camera system which uses artificial intelligence to detect and track any and all UFOs in its field of vision and has algorithms to identify and rule out meteors, lightning, conventional aircraft, birds and other things mistaken for UFOs. Is there a Nobel prize for UFOs and has anyone nominated him yet?

Why is Harvard University astrophysicist Avi Loeb working with ardent UFO believers?   Science.org - February 1, 2022

UFOs, Politics and Religion - Only in Texas   Mysterious Universe - July 28, 2020
Our political leaders should respond to extraterrestrials as political leaders, not religious ones. Senator Marco Rubio has done just that. Senator Harry Reid has done this for years. Even President Trump has recently commented on Area 51 without bringing up religion. The spiritual beliefs of extraterrestrials are the territory of philosophical, spiritual and ethical minds, not politicians unless, or course, the ETS decide to act like humans and force THEIR religion on us using threats, violence, stake-burning, torture, banishment, ethic (or species) cleansing, etc.

New York Times Reveals the Existence of the Pentagon UFO Program That Never Went Away   Mysterious Universe - July 25, 2020
Despite Pentagon statements that it disbanded a once covert program to investigate unidentified flying objects, the effort remains underway - renamed and tucked inside the Office of Naval Intelligence, where officials continue to study mystifying encounters between military pilots and unidentified aerial vehicles. The blockbuster UFO revelation hinted to in leaks to the mainstream media and the UFO research community was made public last night and it was, to say the least, somewhat underwhelming - despite quotes about off-road vehicles not made on this earth. Reporters Ralph Blumenthal and Leslie Kean reveal their best card right up front - that the Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon Task Force is actually the renamed Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP), whose funding ended in 2012 but allegedly stayed operational for a number of years. The Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon Task Force made its official debut on June 17, 2020, in the Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021 report submitted to the Senate by Florida Senator Marco Rubio, who earlier this week said in public that he personally hopes UFOs are otherworldly and not secret planes from China.

The Pascagoula Abduction is an alleged UFO sighting and alien abduction said to have occurred in 1973 when co-workers Charles Hickson and Calvin Parker claimed they were abducted by aliens while fishing near Pascagoula, Mississippi. The incident earned substantial mass media attention. Read more

Former Cop Furnishes Secret Recording from Legendary Pascagoula UFO Event   Coast to Coast - July 14, 2020
An intriguing piece of evidence from the legendary Pascagoula UFO event has recently come into the hands of one of the two men at the center of the iconic alien abduction case. In October of 1973, Calvin Parker and Charles Hickson witnessed an unidentified flying object while they were fishing at Mississippi's Pascagoula River and, they claimed, were subsequently taken aboard the craft against their will. Upon their return, the duo reported the incident to the local police station and, unbeknownst to them, were recorded at one point privately talking about their experience.

The earnest nature of that conversation has long been cited as an indication that, at the very least, the two men were not making up their story and, quite possibly, that they really were abducted by visitors from another world. Now, in a tantalizing turn of events, Calvin Parker has reportedly come into possession of a longer recording from the police station that evening which he never knew existed. He reportedly received the tape from a former officer of the Pascagoula Police Department who managed to hold on to a copy for all these years and decided to give it to him after they had been corresponding about the case online.

UFO Group in Mexico Claims Underwater Alien Base Repels Hurricanes   Coast to Coast - July 20, 2020
A UFO research organization in Mexico claims that a region of the country has been protected from hurricanes for the last 50 years thanks to a secret alien base. The bizarre assertion was reportedly made by the Association of Scientific UFO Research of Tamaulipas, also known as 'Aicot,' According to the group, at some point after Hurricane Inez struck the area in 1966, an extraterrestrial race established an underwater hub, which prevents such storms from reaching land, off the coast of Mexico near the cities of Ciudad Madero and Tampico.

Despite the fact that UFO enthusiasts who subscribe to the strange idea have gone so far as to give the base a name (Amupac), the specifics surrounding the alleged alien hideout are somewhat hard to decipher as the tale has many permutations. Some say that the base is interdimensional, while others contend that simply believing in the base is what has created the 'power' to repel the storms. One particularly wild rumor which has been attached to Amupac is that it is not a base at all and, instead, is some kind of hurricane-stopping device which was given to the Mexican government by extraterrestrial visitors.

Man Visits Alien Base He Believes is Protecting Mexican Town from Hurricanes   Mysterious Universe - July 19, 2020
The theories that benevolent extraterrestrials are hovering just outside of our vision or consciousness to protect we mere humans from total destruction until we can serve their purpose (at this point, the benevolent theory often switches to the idea we're being groomed for slavery or dinner) generally focuses on active volcanoes or nuclear power plants. One city on the Gulf coast of Mexico feels it's being protected from hurricane destruction be aliens and reserves a day once a month to offer thanks. Recently, the leader of a local UFO group claimed he's visited the underwater base of the aliens and returned with an explanation for how to continue the protection. Let's hope it doesn't involve soaking in marinade!

Are there really 36 alien civilizations out there? Well, maybe. Live Science - June 16, 2020
How many intelligent alien civilizations are out there among the hundreds of billions of stars in the spiral arms of the Milky Way? According to a new calculation, the answer is 36. That number assumes that life on Earth is more or less representative of the way that life evolves anywhere in the universe - on a rocky planet an appropriate distance away from a suitable star, after about 5 billion years. If that assumption is true, humanity may not exactly be alone in the galaxy, but any neighbors are probably too far away to ever meet.

Research sheds new light on intelligent life existing across the galaxy   PhysOrg - June 16, 2020
s there anyone out there? This is an age-old question that researchers have now shed new light on with a study that calculates there could be more than 30 intelligent civilizations throughout our Galaxy. This is an enormous advance over previous estimates which spanned from zero to billions. A new study led by the University of Nottingham and published today in The Astrophysical Journal has taken a new approach to this problem. Using the assumption that intelligent life forms on other planets in a similar way as it does on Earth, researchers have obtained an estimate for the number of intelligent communicating civilizations within our own galaxy -the Milky Way. They calculate that there could be over 30 active communicating intelligent civilizations in our home Galaxy.

'Giant Tic Tac' and Other Hypersonic UFOs Spotted by Navy Pilots   Space.com - May 29, 2019
Between 2014 and 2015, seasoned pilots in the U.S. Navy experienced a number of harrowing encounters with UFOs during training missions in the U.S. While pilots were mid-flight, their aircraft cameras and radar detected seemingly impossible objects flying at hypersonic speeds at altitudes up to 30,00 feet (9,144 meters); these mysterious UFOs did so with no visible means of propulsion, The New York Times reported on May 26. However, none of the pilots suggest that these perplexing UFOs represent an extraterrestrial invasion, according to The Times, which previously wrote about Navy pilots encountering UFOs in 2004.

But there have been "a number of reports of unauthorized and/or unidentified aircraft entering various military-controlled ranges and designated air space in recent years," according to the statement.

Research creates DNA-like molecule to aid search for alien life   PhysOrg - February 21, 2019
In a research breakthrough funded by NASA, scientists have synthesized a molecular system that, like DNA, can store and transmit information. This unprecedented feat suggests there could be an alternative to DNA-based life, as we know it on Earth - a genetic system for life that may be possible on other worlds. This new molecular system, which is not a new life form, suggests scientists looking for life beyond Earth may need to rethink what they are looking for.

After making headlines last month with some truly bizarre musings about ETs and time travel, retired professional baseball player Jose Canseco is doubling down on his penchant for the paranormal   Coast to Coast - February 19, 2019
The retired slugger drew snickers in late January when he revealed on Twitter that "we are in contact with aliens" and that they wish to teach humans how to time travel, but we are unable to adopt the technology. The remarkably specific statements were largely dismissed by sports and pop culture pundits as yet another example of Canseco's notoriously eccentric nature. Despite being the subject of considerable ridicule, the savvy Conseco clearly saw the attention that his tweets received and subsequently offered his followers the chance to "come play golf with me and learn about aliens and time traveling." As you may have surmised by now, this 'once in a lifetime' experience comes at a cost. Canseco's manager reportedly explained that this proposed excursion would consist of only five spots at a cost of $5,000 each.

Top-Secret UFO Program Revealed in TV's 'Project Blue Book'   Live Science - January 9, 2019
Unidentified flying objects (UFOs) have long inspired curiosity and speculation, but when did our fascination with UFOs really take off? A new television drama explores the origins of the UFO phenomenon, drawing from the incredible true story of the U.S. government's decades-long investigation of reported UFO encounters. The secret program - dubbed Project Blue Book - launched in 1952 and was monitored by the U.S. Air Force until the project's termination in 1969. During that time, experts investigated more than 12,000 reports of UFO sightings, of which over 700 remain unexplained, according to records in the National Archives. Now declassified, the most intriguing of these unsolved cases are revisited in the History Channel series "Project Blue Book."

This Scale Ranks Extraterrestrial-Life Discoveries, Grounding Overblown Headlines   Live Science - August 2, 2018
Researchers looking for signals from technologically advanced aliens pick up countless strange pings - but so far, nothing has convinced them that a message really came from aliens. But that doesn't mean there aren't plenty of overblown media headlines about potential alien detections. So a team of researchers pursuing the search for extraterrestrial intelligence, or SETI, has decided to revive a scale meant to ground these detections in reality. They shared their scale, called Rio 2.0, in a new paper that takes aim at SETI researchers and the media for irresponsible coverage of potential detections.

Aliens Are Staying Away From New York City In 2018, Records Show   Patch.com - July 7, 2018
If the aliens are coming in peace, they're not coming to New York City. Sky-watchers in the five boroughs have reported just two sightings of unidentified flying objects so far this year, down from 13 by this time last year, according to the National UFO Reporting Center. The center publishes a database of UFO sightings from across the United States and the world. The most recent close encounter in New York City was reported on May 13, when someone in Glen Oaks, Queens saw a green patch in the sky while driving on the Long Island Expressway. The only other reported sighting in the city came on May 5, when someone reported an anomaly on a satellite image. But the person admitted it could have been nothing: "Possibly optical aberrations in satellite photo" they wrote.

Manhattan has gone from Studio 54 to Area 51, leading the five boroughs in sightings of unidentified flying objects over the last two years, data from the National UFO Reporting Center reveals. Otherworldly tourists have included travelers in a round orange orb, a crew in a cigar-shaped craft and even an unknown creature that rudely "teleported" into one New Yorker's back yard, according to reports made to the Washington-based group. One Manhattan true believer claimed a close encounter - just by looking outside the gym window.

Alien Life May Be Rare in Our Galaxy Today   Space.com - July 5, 2018
The hunt for E.T. may have gotten more difficult. New research suggests that alien life may not be as widespread as we had hoped. What 'Arrival' got right about communicating with space aliens   NBC - July 6, 2018
If earthlings ever make contact with intelligent space aliens, will we be able to understand them? We use a language of spoken and written words, of course, but aliens might use numbers, shapes, tones or something beyond our imagining. Will we know how to respond to them - and what to say? That's where Sheri Wells-Jensen comes in. A linguist at Bowling Green State University in Ohio, Wells-Jensen is also a leader in an emerging field that some call alien linguistics - though she's quick to point out that the term is a bit premature since we have no alien languages. Not yet anyway.

In particular, there's an interest in explaining the creation of ancient sites as the work of advanced alien civilizations. Here are six historical sites that some are convinced were created by aliens. It's worth noting that many have taken issue with the theory that aliens created these wonders, especially given the racial implications that some people are more likely to believe that extraterrestrials created them rather than ancient peoples.

UFO Mysteries: These Sightings Have Never Been Solved   Live Science - December 20, 2017
While the vast majority of UFO sightings, when investigated, have turned out to be the result of ordinary Earthly phenomena, such as weather balloons, flares or rockets, some still leave experts scratching their heads - and looking to the skies for little green men. From white Tic Tacs to flashing lights, here are some of the most mysterious UFO sightings out there ...

In 1981, a 55-year-old farmer in Trans-en-Provence, France, reported hearing a strange, high-pitched sound before seeing a flying saucer nearby. The lead-colored UFO took off almost immediately, he said. What makes this sighting unique is that the farmer immediately contacted local police, who took soil and plant samples, according to a report of the incident. Experts from France's UFO-investigating body, formerly called Groupe d'tudes et d'Informations sur les Phnomnes Arospatiaux Non-identifis (GEPAN), said the chemical evidence was consistent with heating of the soil and pressure from a heavy object. They also found traces of zinc and phosphate and evidence of abnormalities in the plants nearby.

UFO Sightings & News: Here's a look at UFOs throughout history   Live Science - December 20, 2017
UFOs have fascinated and puzzled people for decades, yet hard evidence seems ever elusive. Many people are convinced that not only are extraterrestrials visiting Earth, but that governments have perpetuated a top-secret global conspiracy to cover it up. Here's a look at UFOs throughout history. Today, most people equate UFOs with extraterrestrial intelligence and advanced technologies, but this is a very recent idea. That's not to say that historically people did not report seeing unusual things in the skies, for they surely did: comets, meteors, eclipses and the like had been reported (and sometimes recorded) for millennia - in fact some researchers believe that the Star of Bethlehem may have been an illusion created by a merging of Jupiter and Saturn, which occurred right around Jesus' birth).

Crowds in Mexico City stopped and stared at the sky as hypnotizing 'giant white ball' UFOs hovered above them. In the startling footage five white balls are seen above the Mexican capital. Hundreds of people gathered on pavements transfixed by the unexplained sight.

Interstellar object may hold 'alien' water   BBC - December 18, 2017
The first known interstellar asteroid may hold water from another star system in its interior, according to a study. Discovered on 19 October, the object's speed and trajectory strongly suggested it originated beyond our Solar System. The body showed no signs of "outgassing" as it approached the Sun, strengthening the idea that it held little if any water-ice. But the latest findings suggest water might be trapped under a thick, carbon-rich coating on its surface. The results come as a project to search for life in the cosmos has been using a radio telescope to check for radio signals coming from the strange, elongated object, named Oumuamua.

Navy pilot recalls encounter with UFO: 'I think it was not from this world'   ABC - December 18, 2017

Fravor's stunning retelling of his encounter off the California coast with what appeared to be a 40-foot-long wingless object that flew at incredible speeds in an erratic pattern comes as the Pentagon revealed the existence of a secret program to investigate sightings of UFOs. The program was shut down in 2012 because of other budget priorities, according to the Pentagon.

Pentagon ran secret multi-million dollar UFO program   BBC - December 16, 2017
Only a small number of officials were aware of the program, which began in 2007 and was reportedly closed in 2012. The New York Times says documents from the operation describe strange speeding aircrafts and hovering objects. But scientists were doubtful, stressing that unexplained happenings were not necessarily proof of alien life. CIA releases 13m pages of declassified documents The Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program was the brainchild of Harry Reid, a retired Democratic senator who was the Senate majority leader at the time. He told the New York Times: "I'm not embarrassed or ashamed or sorry I got this thing going. I've done something that no one has done before." Mr Reid - former senator for Nevada, home to the mythologized "Area 51" classified US Air Force base - later tweeted that the program was a serious effort to get to truth amid "plenty of evidence to support asking the questions".

Mass UFO Sightings Reported in Multiple Turkish Cities   Mysterious Universe - November 30, 2016
This is what appears to be a breaking news story - albeit from alternative news sources - of sightings of clusters of UFOs over a number of cities in Turkey on the night of December 27th. Don't panic ... at least, not yet.

How Will Our Religions Handle the Discovery of Alien Life?   Nautilus - November 30, 2016
What would your priest, rabbi, or imam say if we discovered alien life? For the religious, knowing that life on Earth is not unique may demand radical new ways of thinking about ourselves: How special and sacred are we? Is Earth a privileged place? Do we have an obligation to care for beings on other planets? Should we convert ET to 'my' religion? These questions point to a deeper issue about whether our religions can adapt to the idea that humans are not the only sentient beings in the universe capable of worshiping God. Some faiths might unearth new meanings in ancient texts and develop ways of incorporating alien life into their world-views. Other religions that are less flexible in their interpretations of scripture or that claim humans are the only intelligent beings in the universe might struggle to adapt. Whether we are believers or not, none of us can fully escape the influence of religion in our culture. Religion is one of the oldest parts of our social fabric, and is one way - perhaps the main way - that society will process first contact. Here is a brief list of how some religions think about aliens, whether they will try to proselytize them, and which religions are likely to remain intact in the wake of the potential discovery of alien life.

Photonics advances allow Earth to be seen across the universe   PhysOrg - May 18, 2016
Looking up at the night sky - expansive and seemingly endless, stars and constellations blinking and glimmering like jewels just out of reach - it's impossible not to wonder: Are we alone? For many of us, the notion of intelligent life on other planets is as captivating as ideas come. Maybe in some other star system, maybe a billion light years away, there's a civilization like ours asking the exact same question. Imagine if we sent up a visible signal that could eventually be seen across the entire universe. Imagine if another civilization did the same.

Colors Of Alien Life May Be Key To Finding Them   Space.com - May 18, 2016
If an alien planet in a distant solar system were home to microscopic life-forms, how might scientists see them and even decipher their identity? A new catalog of Earth-based life-forms may provide a first step.

Are aliens trying to send us a message?   Daily Mail - March 2, 2015
They are fleeting bursts of radio waves that flash across the universe in just a few milliseconds before disappearing almost as soon as they appeared. But, for the first time, astronomers have detected these short bursts of radio waves repeatedly coming from the same location far beyond our own galaxy. The source of these 'fast radio bursts', as they are known, has baffled scientists since they were first detected in 2007.

Breaking News: New Santilli Telescope Observes Otherwise Invisible Terrestrial Entities with Intelligent Movement   Ancient Origins - January 27, 2016

A new report published in the latest edition of the American Journal of Modern Physics has revealed a startling finding - a newly developed telescope with concave lenses has observed, for the first time, entities in our terrestrial environment that are invisible to our eyes and to conventional Galileo telescopes with convex lenses. Even more surprising is the fact that these entities have been observed to move intelligently in the night sky in a manner suggesting unauthorized surveillance of the area. In his paper, Apparent Detection via New Telescopes with Concave Lenses of Otherwise Invisible Terrestrial Entities (ITE) , Dr Santilli relates the moment his new telescope found a lot more than he anticipated.

Mystery Dome found on Mars: Alien hunters say structure was built by an ancient civilization   Daily Mail - November 30, 2015
The dome was captured in an image taken by the Opportunity Rover. It proves that someone built them in the past, wrote a conspiracy site. There's UFO hunters who are convinced that Nasa is covering up the remains of an ancient civilization on Mars. In the hope of backing up their bizarre theory, they've spotted what they believe to be everything from military bunkers to coffins. Their latest sighting of a rock by the Opportunity rover described as a man-made dome that they say was left behind by an alien race sometime during Mars' watery past.

Are mystery signals messages from Aliens?   Daily Mail - November 29, 2015
> Strange radio waves could be coming from a distant planet, say scientists who are trying to work out what is causing fast radio bursts (FRBs). The strange signals occur for a few milliseconds and come from nowhere. Latest signals picked up in Australia included a new double blast pattern. This rules out some other explanations for FRBs, such as star mergers. Five mysterious signals coming from outside the Milky Way may have been sent by an alien civilization. At least that's one of the theories astronomers are using to explain the appearance of a new series of 'fast radio bursts'. So far, only 11 of these strange radio pulses have been recorded before around the world. The latest signals, which was picked up by the Parkes radio telescope in Australia, included a new double blast accompanied by four 'single' bursts.

If Aliens Exist, Would They Have Sex?   Live Science - October 14, 2015
Humans love to ponder whether alien life is out there, and what it might look like. So here's a burning question: Would extraterrestrials have sex? The question isn't entirely prurient. The evolution of sex is a tricky subject. Sexual reproduction is costly. It requires finding a mate, convincing that mate to mingle DNA with you, and opening yourself up to the possibility of sexually transmitted disease or predation while you're busy wooing. All that considered, and it might not even result in viable offspring.

Air Force UFO files land on Internet   CNN - January 21, 2015
It's enough to make Mulder and Scully seethe with envy. Nearly 130,000 pages of declassified Air Force files on UFO investigations and sightings are now available in one place online. Declassified government records about UFOs have long existed on microfilm in the National Archives in Washington, DC. Many of them also live on websites devoted to the topic, sometimes free, sometimes not. But UFO enthusiast John Greenewald says his database, Project Blue Book Collection, is the first to compile every single declassified document from the Blue Book project -- headquartered at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio from 1947 to 1969 -- in one place for anyone to search or download for free.

Are aliens watching old TV shows?   PhysOrg - January 20, 2015
You've probably heard the trope about how aliens have been watching old episodes of "I Love Lucy" and might think these are our "historical documents". How far have our signals reached? Television transmissions expand outward from the Earth at the speed of light, and there's a trope in science fiction that aliens have learned everything about humans by watching our television shows. If you're 4 light-years away, you're see the light from the Earth as it looked 4 years ago, and some of that light includes television transmissions, as radio waves are just another form of electromagnetism - it's all just light. Humans began serious television service in the 1930s, and by the modern era, there were thousands of powerful transmitters pumping out electromagnetic radiation for all to see. So are aliens watching "I Love Lucy" or footage from World War II and believing it all to be part of our "Historical Documents"? The first radio broadcasts started in the early 1900s. At the time I'm recording this video, it's late 2014, so those transmissions have escaped into space 114 years ago. This means our transmissions have reached a sphere of stars with a radius of 114 light-years.

'UFO' Discovered (Sigh) In Apollo 12 Photograph, 45 Years Later   Huffington Post - November 18, 2014
The European Space Agency's comet lander might have died after just three days - but as we know, data recovered from space can yield insights long after the mission itself is over. Take Apollo 12, for instance. You might think that the second manned mission to the Moon - while remarkable even now - has given up all of the scientific secrets we could expect over the last 45 years. Well not so, according to the UFO community, who claim to have spotted something unusual in the depths of one of the photos from the mission.

Is your religion ready to meet ET?   PhysOrg - November 6, 2014
How will humankind react after astronomers hand over rock-solid scientific evidence for the existence of life beyond the Earth? No more speculating. No more wondering. The moment scientists announce this discovery, everything will change. Not least of all, our philosophies and religions will need to incorporate the new information.

Alien-Looking Skeleton Poses Medical Mystery   Live Science - April 30, 2013
A teensy skeleton with a squashed alien-like head may have earthly origins, but the remains, found in the Atacama Desert a decade ago, do make for quite a medical mystery. Apparently when the mummified specimen was discovered, some had suggested the possibility it was an alien that had somehow landed on Earth, though the researchers involved never suggested this otherworldly origin. Now, DNA and other tests suggest the individual was a human and was 6 to 8 years of age when he or she died. Even so, the remains were just 6 inches (15 centimeters) long. Images

ASU cosmologist suggests studying moon for alien artifacts   PhysOrg - December 26, 2011
If you were part of a team sent to explore an unknown planet; and that planet had a natural orbiting moon, wouldn't it make sense to use that moon as a base camp or remote observation post? Especially if you didn't want those being observed to know you were there? Professor Paul Davis and research technician Robert Wagner think so, and that's why they've published a paper in Acta Astronautica that suggests we humans begin taking a little closer look at our own moon to see if any alien life forms might have left behind some evidence of their visit.

Mysterious Planet-Size Object Spotted Near Mercury   Live Science - December 7, 2011
On Dec. 1, a camera onboard NASA's STEREO spacecraft recorded a wave of electrically charged material shooting out from the sun and blasting Mercury. Footage of this coronal mass ejection (CME), as such events are called, has caught the attention of alien-hunters, who say it has unveiled a giant, "cloaked" spaceship parked near the solar system's innermost planet. In the footage, one sees a huge spurt of plasma and other solar ejecta washing over Mercury; peculiarly, the material seems to flare up as it hits another nearby object, too. "It's cylindrical on either side and has a shape in the middle. It definitely looks like a ship to me, and very obviously, it's cloaked," YouTube-user siniXster said in his video commentary on the footage, which has quickly spread across the Web.

An alien code close to home: Seeking ET beyond the radio silence   PhysOrg - October 27, 2011
Any intelligent extraterrestrial life that exists probably won't announce itself by blowing up the White House, or win over the hearts of children as a lovable alien with a glowing finger. Many scientists simply hope to find evidence of them by scanning the skies for a radio signal from a distant star's alien civilization. But such efforts may also risk overlooking clues of past alien activity right here on Earth.

UFO Reports Spiked this Summer   Live Science - September 18, 2011
According to an organization that tracks UFO reports, this summer has been an especially busy period for UFO sightings. The Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) noted that sightings increased over the past six weeks, with some states more than doubling their normal numbers. Are we on the cusp of an alien invasion? Or maybe people just have more time on their hands to spot - and report - strange things in the sky?

Churchill ordered UFO cover-up, National Archives show   BBC - August 5, 2010
The government took the threat of UFOs so seriously in the 1950s that UK intelligence chiefs met to discuss the issue, newly-released files show. Ministers even went on to commission weekly reports on UFO sightings from a committee of intelligence experts. The papers also include a wartime account claiming prime minister Winston Churchill ordered a UFO sighting be kept secret to prevent "mass panic". The files show reports of UFOs peaked in 1996 - when The X Files was popular. The Joint Intelligence Committee is better known for providing briefings to the government on matters relating to security, defense and foreign affairs. But the latest batch of UFO files released from the Ministry of Defense to the National Archives shows that, in 1957, the committee received reports detailing an average of one UFO sighting a week.

Vatican: Father Funes says the universe is so vast that other life forms may exist BBC - May 13, 2008
The Pope's chief astronomer says that life on Mars cannot be ruled out. Writing in the Vatican newspaper, the astronomer, Father Gabriel Funes, said intelligent beings created by God could exist in outer space. Father Funes, director of the Vatican Observatory near Rome, is a respected scientist who collaborates with universities around the world. The search for forms of extraterrestrial life, he says, does not contradict belief in God. The official Vatican newspaper headlines his article 'Aliens Are My Brother'.
