August 3, 2009 ...
Previously on Ellie's World ... I blogged about my Bounty Paper Towel synchronicities. Today, while at the supermarket, I put 2 rolls of bounty in my shopping cart as I hurried along. When I came home, much to my surprise, I discovered one of them had a teapot motif. What makes this timely is ...
Tea Leaf Reading is a form of divination or scrying.
August brings closure to crop circle season.
The brain is an electrochemical machine. It is programmed to seek closure through balance. The images above illustrate the law of closure, which states that objects tend to be seen as part of a whole. There are no circles or triangles in these images, but our minds fill in the missing information to create these shapes.
Gestalt psychology or Gestaltism (German: Gestalt - "shape" or "figure") of the Berlin School is a theory of mind and brain positing that the operational principle of the brain is holistic, parallel, and analog, with self-organizing tendencies, or that the whole is different from the sum of its parts. The Gestalt effect refers to the form-forming capability of our senses, particularly with respect to the visual recognition of figures and whole forms instead of just a collection of simple lines and curves. In psychology, gestaltism is often opposed to structuralism and Wundt. The images above shows us how the mind completes missing information as it tends to see complete figures even when part of the information is missing.
Gestalt Laws of Perceptual Organization
According to Gestalt psychology, the whole is different than the sum of its parts. Based upon this belief, Gestalt psychologists developed a set of principles to explain perceptual organization, or how smaller objects are grouped to form larger ones. These principles are often referred to as the "laws of perceptual organization." However ... (Click to continue ...)
August 23 is 3 weeks. As we approach it ... many will find themselves in a place of closure to heal and create balance in their lives. Virgo opens new windows and in so doing, old ones must close. Movement within is becoming easier for souls as they can't handle the stress and energy needed to keep dramas alive. Is there something you need to close? Will closure be forced on you? Are you in your 9 Year?
What if something in our lives cannot be brought to closure because someone has gone missing: family member, lover, pet. Then what's one to do? It's easy for me to say "Let it go," but not so easy for others to do. They could consult a psychic or medium. They might dream about someone lost who brings messages. As with the death of a loved one, when someone goes missing, people open their gifts of intuition to get their own answers and trusting their own inner feelings.
Some may never let people and things go, and have it slowly eat away at their soul, sending one to therapy as they become depressed. Understand that sometimes we can have closure and others times it will never happen. Sometimes a missing person or object has another destiny out there and you have to accept that. Life certainly has its share of challenges that we each handle in our own way.
Did you ever wonder what it might be like to have someone close to you go missing, their whereabouts remaining a mystery due to foul play? Very often this type of unresolved loss is related to the endless wars we still fight, making us a most barbaric race.
In metaphysics, I used to hear about alien abductions in which people were taken and would generally turn up ... somewhere, having physical evidence to prove that something happened. Sometimes science fiction makes the point that humans are the only race that preys on itself, and therefore contact was never made between evolved species and humans as we are a self-destructive race and not nearly evolved as we think we are. This is true ... but ... the 'writers' should bear in mind that everything is programmed experience in the Master Experiment and we are all playing out our roles. If there really was free will, these events would never happen.
As we learned from the 20th century world wars, bringing closure to friends and family lost in war, is often not the case. My family lost people during the holocaust, whose fate will remain a mystery until the end.
Sometimes, in war, a missing person is found alive ... but then again, most times not. On this day, it was reported:
In a sorrowful resolution to the nearly two-decade-old question about his fate, the Pentagon disclosed Sunday it had received new information last month from an Iraqi citizen that led Marines to recover bones and skeletal fragments - enough for a positive identification.
His family issued a statement Sunday saying, "The news that Captain Speicher has died on Iraqi soil after ejecting from his aircraft has been difficult for the family, but his actions in combat, and the search for him, will forever remain in their hearts and minds."
President Barack Obama called the news "a reminder of the selfless service that led him to make the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom." "My thoughts and prayers are with his family, and I hope that the recovery of his remains will bring them a needed sense of closure," Obama said in a statement issued Sunday.
Shot down over west-central Iraq on a combat mission in his FA-18 Hornet on Jan. 17, 1991, Speicher was declared killed by the Pentagon hours later. Defense Secretary Dick Cheney went on television and announced the U.S. had suffered its first casualty of the war.
As you know from reading my blogs ... the real closure comes when this program ends and we return to total consciousness ... Tick Tock!
