When I stepped out on my terrace to take this video - I wasn't expecting such a strong acrid smell of toxic smoke reminiscent of 9/11. NYC is presently under an air quality alert. Experts recommend staying indoors when possible and avoiding strenuous exercise. M95 masks offer some protection. In July wildfire season will take hold in the US and Canada alongside Hurricane Season.
The streets of NYC are fairly empty - shades of COVID-19 when everything shut down. I went downstairs to get the mail - meeting a neighbor who said it looked like the end of the world. I wore an N-95 mask to step outside for just a few seconds to make this video and take a pic. He was right. It looked like a post-apocalyptic scene. Lots of sirens.
Right now NYC is topping the world for the worst air quality by a large margin. Visibility poor. They say it will last for a while. Glad I don't have to go anywhere. Luckily I finished all of my errands yesterday because even going by car you still have to be outside and it is dangerous.

Climate change and natural disasters are accelerating exponentially as per the algorithm of creation. It's all by the numbers ending in chaos as once it began. Watch tectonic plate activity - earthquakes and tsunamis - as the flow of the collective washes over us and all Fades to Black.
