Shelf Life

Sunday morning November 19, 2023

I read an article in the NYTimes ... "Do you think there's a shelf life to being a YouTube star - both in terms of the star's ability to keep doing it and the audience staying interested?"

It got me thinking about the words 'shelf life' relating to everything we are here to experience.

Just about everything has a shelf life. How long that lasts depends on programming in the simulation.

Even the things that seem to last forever - can only continue to exist if programmed to do so.

If you have a High Point in your experience here - do the best you can to embrace it, record it, and know that it will have a shelf life and could end before you want it to.

As pseudo-therapists we all know that loss and letting go are two of the hardest things we face in the human experiment.

From a simulation perspective everything within it has an expiration date. If only we could see when they are before they sneak up on us and take us by surprise especially when it comes to emotions and relationships.

At the end of the day - we all sense - or have come to understand that even the simulation of our reality has a shelf life which is showing itself to us in many ways.

Wouldn't it be cool if we knew when reality was going to run out of 'time' - but the algorithm is more often than not built on the element of surprise - so we pay attention and wait until the book on the shelf ends.

In the meantime ... we have holidays ahead so go out and enjoy 'your time' no matter where it takes you.
