Today I had dinner with my friend Karen catching up on the adventures in our lives and the world at large.
Later we sat on the bench by the Verrazano Bridge - that was featured in the movie "Saturday Night Fever" - enjoying the summer as the sun set.
Lately I've been spending time with friends and family who have positive things going on in their lives. It's the best way to enjoy what's left of reality and the ever-present noise and chaos of everything else.
We exist in a world of insanity that touches millions of lives each day. In end times you have be lucky - your calculated programming moving you out of harm's way as if a chess piece.
My neighborhood is still buzzing about an incident that happened Friday afternoon a few blocks from here near the subway station. Two people were shot outside of a sneaker shop in Brooklyn on Friday, leaving a bullet-riddled scene in a normally quiet neighborhood. The shooting happened around 4:15 p.m. outside the PluggedIn Sneaker Boutique located at 9413 Fifth Avenue in Bay Ridge.
