Rock stacking has carried spiritual meaning across cultures for centuries. Rock balancing is a form of recreation or artistic expression in which rocks are piled in balanced stacks, often in a precarious manner. Human partake in many creative ways to balance brain chemistry - this being one of them.

Stacking large rocks goes to megalithic and monolithic monuments - their histories and stories that go back to the beginning including ancient alien storylines.

A new spin on an old concept "spinning". There is much to be said about spinning from the movement of consciousness in and out of realities (fibonacci) to a means of balancing brain chemistry and reducing anxiety and depression used in several healing and energy modalities.

I remember the summer I taught elementary school age autistic students. Spinning round and round grounded them back into physical reality ... until they grew dizzy and fell down laughing.

In recent years we have seen fidget spinners and other toy concepts people use as an energy 'vehicle' to create the same desired effect - depending how one's brain is programmed.

We come to a product called Flow Star - 8-sided spinning cloths originated in Barcelona. Created by Tai Dapero who was inspired by hacky sack, flairtending and frisbee, the original spinning cloths are known are dapostars. The first dapostars were square in shape and evolved to two overlapping squares facilitating stability, giving rise to the 8-pointed star shape we spin today.

So why am I posting about this? When I was the age of my granddaughter, Joie, 20, unless you knew someone who had a textile mill, you couldn't design your fabrics. Coming from a family in the fashion world I was drawn to design but there was not enough time to create a career in fashion.

As we know everything changed, especially things that could be made easier, faster, and better with computer technology or even AI.

Joie's flair for hair and fashion has taken her to the world of pattern design for Flow Star to be created by computer (photoshop) and transferred to fabric.

The designs remind me of a mandala or kaleidoscope (spin).
