Being brought up Jewish and attending Hebrew School - I watch Hallmark's annual Hanukkah movie as some of the fun traditions remind me of my childhood.
On December 10, 2023 Hallmark aired a movie called "Round and Round" - a Rom-Com which caught my attention because it features a magic metal dreidel that causes a woman named Rachel to get stuck in a Hanukkah time loop until she changes her life with the help of the male love interest in the story, Zach.
"Round and Round" embraced its Jewishness wholeheartedly - combining a sci-fi element with the holiday - culminating as Rachel and Zach find each other thus breaking the time loop. Through the energies of the metal dreidel held between the palms of their hands - Zach is able to see their adventures in other time loops.
Metal takes us to alchemy. We are having an alchemical experience in the paradigm of time.
"Round and Round" was a fun adventure I thought - remembering that we too are stuck in a time loop.
I rewound my recording to the place where you see the metal dreidel spinning on a table creating the time loop. I had already figured out that the spinning dreidel caused the time loops. It was about spinning - and as we know - consciousness moves in spirals or cycles or loops as it moves in and out of realities.
Memories are unspooling in my consciousness faster and faster these days as I watch humanity struggling to 'wake up' and make sense of reality.
The spinning dreidel was a key for me - yet I couldn't connect it to something my consciousness was searching for - so I decided to let it go and start my EZine blog.
I opened to one of my favorite physics pages and voila there was the answer. The dreidel reminded me of the metal totem in the film Inception a top that spins indefinitely in a dream and stops in what we call true reality - which in itself is an illusion. There's nothing like an epiphany to start your day and have a good laugh. There are those who believe that reality is a dream from which we will all awaken. Consciousness stirs memories ...
