There are no perfect places on planet Earth untouched by end times.

Over the years I've read clients who have moved to the state of Maine for peace of mind and to avoid climate change. During that time it has been easy to agree with their decision to leave family an friends to make the move. But that was then and this is now as no place is impervious to the threats that face humanity in end times. Case in point ... the mass shooting in Lewiston, Maine on Wednesday this week.

With people going crazy and increases in substance abuse there is no stopping mass shootings. Not only aren't people NOT giving up their weapons, but now with the war between Israel and Hamas there is an increase in weapon purchases for those who are Jewish and Palestinian around the world. It's simply not safe anywhere and getting worse.

Wednesday, my neighbor Gregory, 70, told me that though he enjoys the company of the Hasidic community in the next neighborhood - he has stopped visiting there because he is afraid. One day as he was talking to another man - a group of young Palestinian men marching in line as if Nazi soldiers - passed him by. Gregory is Irish but he wears a long beard so they must have thought he was Jewish. One of them started walking towards him as Gregory fled into a local store.

Though I haven't posted about the migrant crisis in New York City lately - it continues to grow worse with shelters filled to capacity some closing because they cannot pass inspection. Where do the people go as winter approaches?

Humanitarian crises are everywhere highlighted with wars in the Middle East (Israel-Hamas) and Europe (Russia-Ukraine). Years of building and rebuilding reduced to rubble in seconds.
