Working Alone Versus Working With Others

September 24, 2021

In my years as a therapist and psychic I have found that most people - when shown what to do - work better on their own. It alleviates stress and anxiety which we know is what takes everybody out. In many cases living alone has the same results. This has nothing to do with loneliness which is another negative emotion that destroys.

Throughout our lives we change careers and jobs sometimes working with others and other times alone.

Few people stay in the same job from beginning to end or retirement whatever age our mind and body can no longer be part of a work situation.

If the people we work with function at the same level we do then it's fun to work with others and helps us grow. If they are detrimental to our workday - we go to anxiety and stress.

Working with lovers is stressful. Working with family is often more stressful because it involves one's personal issues.

There really is no right nor wrong to the work situation. It's all about finding out what works for you at a given time, and if you can earn a living doing it.

Since Covid began 18 months ago - and the country set down - we have come to understand that working from home can be a good thing especially as technology can easily link us up with others in our work sphere. As the workplace slowly opened up - some people embrace going back and interacting with coworkers while others prefer to work from home.

Covid allowed many people to collect unemployment which ran out this month leaving them to figure out what to do while and not return to a toxic work environment if that was their prior situation. Meanwhile ... employment shortages continue across the board. Many have figured out ways to start their own businesses from home well others just don't have the energy to go back to an exhausting work situation. It's never easy

As climate redistributes the workplace situation - it's going to keep changing until the end.

Study shows benefit of employees managing themselves   PhysOrg - September 21, 2021
More U.S. companies could benefit from encouraging and developing self-leadership in employees, a concept that allows workers to manage themselves instead of relying on supervisors. Self-leadership involves employees influencing their own behaviors, thoughts and moods, making them less dependent on traditional leaders to complete goals and achieve peak performance in the workplace.
