In May 1991- I went to a UFO conference in Tucson, AZ. hosted by Wendell Stevens. There I met and interviewed many famous researchers in the field for my TV show "The Metaphysical Experience" - among them Marina Popovich - far right in the pic - a retired Soviet Air Force colonel, engineer, and legendary Soviet test pilot who holds aviation world records set on over 40 types of aircraft. She is one of the most famous pilots in Russian history, and one of the most important female pilots of all time. She authored nine books and two screenplays. Through her interpreter she spoke about the many times she had seen UFOs - as well as other information regarding alien activities that the Russia and the United States suppressed. Marina speaks about her UFO experience in her book titled UFO Glasnost (published in 2003 in Germany) and in public lectures and interviews. She claims that the Soviet military and civilian pilots have confirmed 3000 UFO sightings and that the Soviet Air Force and KGB have fragments of five crashed UFOs. The crash sites were Tunguska (1908), Novosibirsk, Tallinn, Ordzhonikidze and Dalnegorsk (1986).

Friday night "Ancient Aliens" presented an episode called "Russia's Secret Files". Marina was mentioned along with other researchers and scientists. I found this episode very interesting as it presented the topic with great graphics (I am visual learner). Emphasis was focused on aliens visitors, bases, and current UFO sightings today, rather than in the past.

Synopsis: Russia is a vast country, spanning over 6 million square miles of some of the most rugged terrain on Earth, much of which is uninhabited and largely unexplored. Ancient astronaut theorists suggest that otherworldly visitations predate the establishment of the Russian nation, and point to the ancient settlement at Arkaim as evidence--a centuries-old megalithic site that, like Stonehenge, is oriented along astronomical lines. In addition, tiny metal coils and springs recovered 30 feet beneath the Ural Mountains may indicate the presence of advanced technology on Earth thousands of years ago.
