Exercise and Emotions

Physical activity is known to reduce stress and anxiety and quiet the mind. It focuses the brain away from emotions and on to cognitive functioning. Also popular is yoga, pilates, meditation, etc. as a way of redirecting the brain especially for the large majority of the population who deal with emotional problems on a daily basis. All activities should be done in moderation. What starts out as a positive way to deal with life often results in damage to the physical body based on wear and tear and aging. In the duality of physical reality all things have positives and negatives so tread lightly.
