Every Autumn the leaves on the trees in historic John Paul Jones Park across the street turn red making them stand out from the rest in this massive landscape overlooking the Atlantic as it flows under the Verrazano Bridge (Narrows) - past the Statue of Liberty just around the bend - then into New York Harbor (Hudson River) and lower Manhattan where history is made most days. I wait all year for these trees to turn red then watch them from above (my apartment) or walk among them.
Beauty that never disappoints or gets old
