Turning 79 - Ellie's Birthday Adventures in New Jersey

February 17, 2022

I welcomed my 79th birthday with the sun shining and temperatures rising to 60° in the Northeast as if a window between the past few frigid days with windchills below 20° and a storm coming at night. Weather Mojo still working. On this day my friend Karen and I drove to her beach house at the Jersey Shore in Belmar, NJ. to celebrate my birthday. It was a fun ride with no traffic, lots of laughs and no ... issues. About covid masks ... I took mine along but never wore it. Actually no one I met today was wearing a mask.

We hope you enjoy my birthday adventure. You're never too old.

Arriving at Karen's house a few blocks off the beach.
You can't see the ocean but can experience the energies a few blocks away.

A quick look at the large backyard before going inside.
That's an extra building Karen would like to transform into a living space.

Hi! I'm Karen an acupuncturist and chiropractor in Park Slope Brooklyn. I met Ellie in the 1990s when she came to my office to teach a class on UFOs and aliens. We've been friends ever since. Welcome to my beach home.

I love Karen's nautical artwork - it goes with the ambiance of the area.

Lunch at La Dolce Vita Italian Seafood Grill across from the ocean
in Belmar, NJ. Amazing food. No room for dessert. Lots of love.

Time to walk off that big lunch but too windy to stay long at the boardwalk.

Whoops. I forgot my hat and my hood kept flying off.

Enjoying the sand dunes

Too windy to walk along the boardwalk - we drove to
Spring Lake an upscale waterfront community nearby.

There's nothing like a footbridge to make me feel at home.

You guys know how much I love trees.

I couldn't resist this one as it is so unique.

Helloooo ...

Karen and the Tree

Flowers and Candy ... Our final stop was the Third Avenue Chocolate
Shoppe in Spring Lake to get something to take home for dessert.

After consulting with a young boy in the store, who told me he likes
everything, I bought a small piece of freshly made vanilla fudge.

After deciding what she wanted Karen went with chocolate.

It was time to go home. Thanks for sharing our birthday adventure. Until next year and the big 8-0.
