In December 1989, when I wrote the first draft of Sarah and Alexander, I also created several images of what I thought her amulet might look like. I placed those drawings in a folder where they remained until I found them last Thursday while cleaning out old folders. As with archaeological discoveries, we look to the old ... ancient secrets buried in time ... to tell us about the New.
