It all began in the Middle East with the foundation of our reality, the Masonic Program. This is a master plan, or architectural blueprint, that would return the energies to their source, at the mouth of the river in the Persian Gulf, at the end of this cycle of time.
Once upon a time there was a land where creation began. It was called the 'Cradle of Civilization' for one. This was the Persia, Sumer, the Garden of Eden, laced in metaphors for all time, to be rediscovered when the program evolved.
Alas there came the Persian Prophet, Zoroaster, who you may recognize as Thoth, Hermes, Akhenaten, Quetzalcoatl and his Mayan Calendar pinpointing 2012 as the end of this cycle of time, Buddha, Jesus, among endless others.
Zoroaster is symbolized by the flame, the crown, wings, and the lion. He taught about monotheism and duality - Good God=Ahura Mazda vs. Bad God=Ahriman.
The twin lions represents twin aspects of your soul, duality.
Consciousness splits to experience above and below.
