Peeling Away The Layers
When we peel away the layers of our lives, the protective coverings, we get to the heart of our issues and sometimes discover the truth about that which we seek, from our personal health and awakening to the nature of reality.
Dealing and healing with issues symbolizes pealing away the truth to get to the core/seed of everything, the place where your are clear and all is understood, the final awakening on your journey.
When you feel that you have reached a final truth, you say that you must peal the final layer away.
Under a microscope onion skin looks remarkably like human skin. It has cells just like ours, forming a fine layer that looks tough but is easily bruised or torn, just as we are emotionally, physically and spiritually.
Onions are circular, a metaphor for completion.
Onions can have flower heads.

Onions have 6 petals like the Flower of Life.
Your life is like an onion (tears, eyes) your truths to be
revealed after all of the layers have been pealed away.
Close your eyes . . .
Take 3 long slow deep breath
inhaling through your nose
holding the breath as is comfortable
then exhaling slowly through your mouth.
See an onion before you.
Notice the condition of the onion (healthy - rotten)
Take the onion and slowly peal away the first layer.
Symbolically, What did that layer represent?
Continue to peel the layers away one by one.
Find the truth about
your physical self
your soul's mission here
the universe and reality.
You can also use a real onion,
washing away the layers, tears, as you let go.
