At the beginning of the year it was reported that Princess Kate had stomach surgery and was recovering at home. For months people speculated about what else was wrong until ...Catherine, Princess of Wales, announced she has cancer

As an admirer of Kate it saddens me that she has to go through chemotherapy and whatever else. For many it makes the problems they face today pale in comparison.

I feel sad for William as three close family members currently deal with cancer - his wife, his father King Charles, and his aunt Sarah Ferguson. His rift with Harry, the loss of his grandparents, all within the past few years, add to his sense of loss. He will be there for his three young children while shades of his own childhood are not far from his thoughts.

Many cancers today are treatable and curable. Kate is a strong woman with lots of support from family, friends and the world. We send her love and good wishes for a healthy recovery. Kate and William 'enormously touched' by public support
