Penny Marshall had a Jewish schtick from my age group that was part of who I was growing up. Schlemiel! Schlimazel! Hasenpfeffer Incorporated! was something my best friend Sherry and I recited. Schlemiel and Schlimazel were familiar Yiddish terms in my home. Penny Marshall was a great talent remembered for her acting and directing.
