The Gates were a group of gates comprising a site-specific work of art by Bulgarian artist Christo Yavacheff and French artist Jeanne-Claude, known jointly as Christo and Jeanne-Claude. The artists installed 7,503 vinyl "gates" along 23 miles (37 km) of pathways in Central Park in New York City. From each gate hung a panel of deep saffron-colored nylon fabric. The exhibit ran from February 12, 2005 through February 27, 2005. According to Christo's web site, all told, 7,503 individual gates were installed.
The books and other memorabilia distributed by Christo and Jeanne-Claude refer to the project as The Gates, Central Park, New York, 1979Ð2005 in reference to the time that passed from the artists' initial proposal until they were able to go ahead with it.
The Gates were greeted with mixed reactions. Some people loved them for brightening the bleak winter landscape and encouraging late-night pedestrian traffic in Central Park; others hated them, accusing them of defacing the landscape. It was seen as an obstruction to bicyclists, who felt that the gates could cause accidents, although cycling was not legal on those paths. The artists received a great deal of their nationwide fame as a frequent object of ridicule by David Letterman, as well as by Keith Olbermann, whose apartment was nearby.

New Yorkers and tourists alike came out, if only for a short period of time due to the cold weather, to walk through The Gates.
The energies were uplifting as my friends, Pat, Robert, Esther and I drove up to Central Park through thick traffic, yet undisturbed by it all. It was the first time the 4 of us had gone off on an adventure since last August in Lyndhurst Castle.
The pressing question at that moment was, where does one park their car in a city that has few parking spaces and parking garages that cost $30.00 US and were filled anyway! As most of you know, parking is never a problem for those who are 'connected' or can manifest. It's sort of Metaphysics 101. It was around 3 pm, the middle of the afternoon and the city was flooded with people, downtown at Chinatown and at Central Park to experience The Gates.
As we sat in the car ... trying to decide what to do ... I asked Z for help! Suddenly a little old man came up to the car. "Do you need a parking spot?" he asked. Ah! The messenger. "My car is parked just around the corner," he continued. I asked him to get in the car so we could drive him there straight-away. He got in and in the time it took us to drive around to the next block, he told us that he is 85 years old and was in the city on business. Business? Yup! He refinishes furniture for the rich and famous and was giving a job estimate.
I noticed a spirit in the car. Did he know a Clara? Yes! It was his dearly beloved wife who crossed over a while back. I gave him a message from her... well it was almost Valentine's Day, and he apparently missed her very much!
Whoa! Here's something weird that just gave me goosebumps! As I was typing the sentence above, my phone rang. I picked it up and a woman said, "Good morning, Clara?"
"You have the wrong number." I replied.
All she said was, "Thank You!". Could the message have been any 'clara/clearer'? I still have goosebumps!
I get a lot of that lately...
Example: Upon entering the park I stopped to tie my shoelace. Behind me I heard a woman say, "Do you have control over your shoelaces, yet?"
I turned to look at her. She wasn't addressing me, but her young daughter who stood beside her.
It's as if everything is echoing, mimicking, attracting something of likeness. I see it as part of the movement up the cones towards source.
... Let's walk on through the Gates. The energies were friendly and high as my friends and I walked through the east side area of the park. Later we attempted to drive to the west side for more photos, but it was getting too late, and the traffic was bumper-to-bumper.
People walked through The Gates, out of curiosity, for the experience, for the fun of it ... reflected differently for each person on many levels. The journey is unique for each soul. Though I didn't get a 'metaphysical hit' from the experience, there was something in the symbolism of passing through gates, the fabric of creation, orange=balance, balanced rods, that remains with all who were there and will share this journey over the remaining 2 weeks.
As we drove around the city, there was a recognition that NY is my home. My friends, who are all well-traveled, felt the same. We did agree..."There no place in the world like New York City!"
After Robert saw the image of an 'eye' in this photo. Over the past few months I have been seeing 'eyes' in my dreams. Last week I was talking with the spirit of a young woman whose mother had come to see me. The first thing the daughter showed me was a huge eye that was closed. Her mother told me that the daughter had been dreaming about eyes just before she died. Expect the eye symbol to show itself to you, perhaps as they eye of an alien, but in my case, a woman's eye with thick curly long lashes.
The third eye is the 6th chakra. As it begins to activate and open, it is a common experience that one sees an eye, or eyes, looking back at them. Your perspective in, dreams, of colors, your personal life and relationships, will be seen through a 'new light.' You are moving into a higher frequency that enables you to see the grand picture, expand your consciousness, to see reality on many levels and dimensions. This can be a quantum leap in perception and can be life changing as you discard patterns that no longer work in higher frequency. Your total perception changes in this acceleration of time.
