The Deepwater Horizon drilling rig explosion in the Gulf of Mexico - April 20, 2010 has made as major an impact as anything nature could create, with far more reaching consequences than most realize - truly an environmental disaster. We are programmed to find ways to save the planet, heal and help the environment, etc. yet in one second the program changes everything, a metaphor for The End.

Offshore oil drilling is controversial especially as it affects the environment. Some believe it increases earthquakes, such as Haiti and Chile in 2010. It's all a ripple effect and part of end times - some man made - others the natural cycles of the planet each influencing the other as it all gets swept away.




One Month Later ...

Currently in the Gulf of Mexico we find the aftermath of the Deepwater Horizon explosion and oil spill. How will the problem be contained? Who's to blame? How can we prevent another accident of this kind? The questions are endless as the problem continues with ridiculous solutions to stop the leak and discoveries made about faulty equipment in the Horizon Deepwater System. The oil continues to spread and is a very serious situation.

The Caribbean is a region consisting of the Caribbean Sea, its islands, and the surrounding coasts. Haiti is on the Caribbean Plate. (see Plate Tectonics). Three days after the January 12, 2010 earthquake in Haiti, Venezuela had a 5.6 earthquake.
