George visited Wednesday and shared his wake-up dream. He was seated at a table with a talking zebra who was saying "Remember how we did this ... how we did that", as many things were going on around them. The word Zebra took me to Z ... then a search for the right image and for 'zebra symbology'. The first image that popped up was George as the lion (a Z thing), with his reading glasses and what I call the "George List", exactly the way he sits at my computer when he comes here to help me every week. Does that make me the zebra? We laughed about replacing the George List (printed Word document) with an iPad.
Zebra, Power Animal, Symbol of Individuality, Balance
The zebra's gifts include seeing in black and white, clarity without filters, balance, agility, uniqueness, power, sureness of path, keeping up individuality within the herd. The zebra's black and white stripes camouflage it against predators, who often cannot identify individuals in the herd. However to the herd members the patterns are unique from zebra to zebra, helping to identify one another - they are as unique as our fingerprints. Blending into a crowd without losing your individuality, is one powerful aspect of the Zebra. Zebras also help us to be supportive members within our communities. These abilities protect them from danger, as well as their agility and speed. The stripes also represent the blending and balancing of opposites, yin yang, harmony - enabling them to see a deeper truth.
