US Presidents' Day
The year 2026 is widely recognized as the Semiquincentennial - the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States - often referred to as "America 250" - marking 250 years since the country declared independence and began the American Experiment. What a journey this has been - from George Washington to Donald Trump - a path that, to many, feels as though it is coming full circle in the ongoing evolution of democratic governance.
Within our deeply bipolar, bipartisan system - destined to clash amid the complexities of human emotions - the future is being challenged and questioned on a daily basis. It's largely science and technology that have propelled the nation forward, shaping our future even when political consensus proves elusive.
February 17 is my 83rd birthday - in 2026 a day that marks the convergence of these cultural, spiritual, and celestial celebrations ... the Chinese New Year (Year of the Fire Horse), Mardi Gras, the first day of Ramadan, and a New Moon 28° Aquarius Solar Eclipse.
