The Knights Templar have become associated with legends concerning secrets and mysteries handed down to the select from ancient times. Rumors circulated even during the time of the Templars themselves. Masonic writers added their own speculations in the 18th century, and further fictional embellishments have been added in popular novels such as Ivanhoe, Foucault's Pendulum, and the Da Vinci Code, modern movies such as National Treasure, the Last Templar, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, and Knightfall. Beginning in the 1960s, there have been speculative popular publications surrounding the order's early occupation of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem and speculation about what relics the Templars may have found there, such as the quest for the Holy Grail or the Ark of the Covenant, or the historical accusation of idol worship (Baphomet) transformed into a context of "witchcraft". The association of the Holy Grail with the Templars has precedents even in 12th-century fiction.

The secrets of the Knights Templar have been unearthed by archaeologists in Israel. A set of 'lost' tunnels leading to a treasure tower were discovered, which the legendary warrior monks would have used to transport their gold around 800 years ago. Remnants of the soldiers' extravagant headquarters was also uncovered in the ancient city of Acre, on the coast of Israel. The discovery of the tunnels will help historians piece together the movements of the Knights Templar as it suggests they transported gold from the port to the 'treasure tower' via the tunnels. Much mystery surrounds the Knights Templar's demise and what became of their treasure when the group disbanded. The fortress or 'treasure tower' could have been the last location of the Templar's gold.

October 30, 2019 - Today I met a neighbor, age 60, who was born and raised in Turkey and still maintains a home outside of Istanbul in the north western part of the country. Last week she returned from her annual trip to be with her family. Once again she described how each year the Syrian refugee situation grows worse created by the large influx of people who live now on the streets, are sick, beg for money, have become criminals thus changing the landscape of the life she remembers and hoped to retire to in a few years. Another situation with no resolution which is the reality of our experiences here. Desperation changes everything. Terrorists are not born they are made and as things grow worse in end times, the human experiment is becoming more violent on many fronts.

People in the United States always talk about the pattern of taking in refugees since our country was created. But those were different times and circumstances. There is too much destruction going on in the United States today to support an influx of people who will need jobs, homes, healthcare, education and more when we can't even take care of our own people. Again ... no solution. Humans have a history of migration generally driven out of their homeland by crime, politics, or climate change to open a new chapter in a foreign land. Human migration goes back to the beginning whether we came out of Africa or somewhere else, the pattern is always the same, find a safe haven on planet Earth.

Does anybody remember when I posted to Meghan that being married to a royal will be a "royal pain"? Is her father right when he senses she is not happy? Glad to see that she will be going back to LA to be with family and friends next month to take a break. Monarchies are outdated. I read somewhere that they date to "blue bloods" - bloodlines that some trace to ancient Egyptian Gods, Pharaohs, Aliens. Unless there is a greater purpose to this - it's time to delete the concept - give the money to the people and be free. Harry and Meghan opened the door to a side of royal life we don't often see

The world's oldest known pearl is set to be exhibited at the Louvre Abu Dhabi this month, the first time it will be displayed to the public since its discovery. The 8,000-year-old pearl was uncovered at an archaeological site on Marawah Island, off the coast of Abu Dhabi, according to the emirate's Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT). Archaeologists made the discovery in the room of a structure they were excavating, the DCT said via a video posted to its official Twitter account Sunday. They then used radiocarbon dating to determine that it formed between 5800 B.C and 5600 B.C., making it the oldest pearl ever to be discovered. The pearl, which was discovered in 2017, is less than a third of a centimeter in diameter and in photos, appears to be pale pink in color. It's set to feature in an upcoming exhibition at the Louvre Abu Dhabi titled "10,000 Years of Luxury," which opens on Oct. 30. Read more

The story of the oldest pearl ever found so far drew my attention because I had a pink pearl experience the other day. I generally don't wear pearls but on this day I was drawn to the earrings above which are light pink in color. Later in the day I discovered one of the pink pearls was gone though the pink-toned hoop was still on my ear. I searched eBay for "Pink Pearl Earring Charms" but found nothing so far so I ordered this pair from Amazon. To be continued ...
