While I was in the supermarket this morning I passed a Caucasian woman, slim, nicely dressed, in her 50's, who appeared to be talking to herself but in this day and age people are sometimes on their phones. Nope ... she was talking to herself. She looked over at me and said, "I don't know what to buy or do anymore. Nothing makes sense. [Pause] Sorry I was talking to myself," she continued. "We all do at times," I replied looking at her as if a reflection of reality. Off we went to get what we had come for then arriving at the same cashier to "check out" though saying nothing more.
