Long Island Psychics Predict the Triple Crown Winner, Justify

Wednesday June 6, 2018

I drove to Long Island to meet friends for a long awaited birthday celebration with Ellie K and Linda Z who live there. You may recall from a former post that the girls and I go back to elementary school. Our birthdays are in the winter so this is the first opportunity we had to celebrate together. I posted this on Facebook saying hello to all of our friends from Lincoln High School in Brooklyn and the many students whose lives we've touched through the years, as we are all teachers. It was a great reunion and we plan to meet again soon. 75 is the new 45 ...

Long Island is noted for its psychics from the Long Island Medium to John Edward among others. Years ago I was part of the Long Island Psychic Fair Circuit - becoming the Psychic in the Pyramid. Though I'm the only practicing psychic, my friends have gifts as we predicted the winner of this year's Belmont Stakes - a magnificent horse named Justify to win the Triple Crown at Belmont not far from where we had lunch.

Three days later ... Justify became the 13th - and second undefeated horse after Seattle Slew - to win the American Triple Crown. CNN: Justify wins Triple Crown with dominant victory at Belmont. There's a 4th race - the Breeders' Cup Classic at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky the date posted as November 2 and 3. FYI American Pharaoh won all 4 races in 2015.

Fort Hamilton Immigration Incident

Arriving home from Long Island, around 6:30 PM, I couldn't help but notice police cars everywhere. Uh oh! I have to drive past the entrance to Fort Hamilton to get home. "What's going on?" I wondered as each car was stopped and looked into by NYPD. No problem here ...

As I turned onto 101st St., to get to the parking garage in my building, I noticed people in the park holding posters and protesting, but I couldn't stop and was too tired to park and see what was going on. So I went to my personal source of info ... Z. He reminded me that on my way to meet the girls the news mentioned Fort Hamilton in reference to this story Ecuadorean Man Detained by ICE After Delivering Pizza to New York City Military Base. Z said the protests were about this incident. So sad for the family. Reality is broken and life isn't fair.

From NBC - Local politicians, advocates and family members of a man detained by ICE last week after delivering pizza to a military base in New York gathered Wednesday to support the Ecuadorian father. Pablo Villavicencio-Calderon, a 32-year-old undocumented immigrant from Ecuador who was working for a Queens pizzeria, was making a pizza delivery Friday to Fort Hamilton in Brooklyn. He allegedly showed his New York City identification card to gain entrance to the base, like he did on other occasions when he delivered pizza there. This time, though, he was questioned about his immigration status and held illegally by military personnel, according to his wife, Sandra Chica, who said he was detained until agents from Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrived.

According to Fort Hamilton, the base followed procedure and directed Villavicencio to the Visitor Control Center to obtain a daily pass in order to gain access to the base and deliver the pizza. Upon signing a waiver permitting a background check, Department of the Army Access Control standard for all visitors, an active Immigration and Customs Enforcement warrant was discovered on file. This prompted the Department of Emergency Services personnel to contact the proper authorities, Fort Hamilton said in a statement. Villavicencio-Calderon is currently being held at an ICE detention center in New Jersey. He told News 4 partner station Telemundo-47 over the phone Wednesday, "I miss my daughters. I miss my wife."
