2020 US Presidential Election - Joe Biden Wins

Saturday November 7, 2020

Like a breath of fresh year after four years of Trump chaos - day after day - tweet after tweet - Joe Biden has become the 46th President of the United States with 279 electoral votes and counting. Kamala Harris will be the nation's first black and South Asian vice president - a step forward for women and minorities.

Trump became the fourth elected president in the past century to lose re-election, after Herbert Hoover, Jimmy Carter and George H.W. Bush.

Celebrations erupted across the country as people came out in droves - hoping a new administration will set the country back on track.

The election delivered a split decision, ousting President Trump but narrowing the Democratic majority in the House and perhaps preserving the Republican majority in the Senate. The results leave no mandate for the left or the right, but rather a muddled plea to move on from Trump-style chaos.

The American people have officially fired the most corrupt, cruel, indecent, and incompetent president in American history. Not to forget that he was impeached almost a year ago.

Democracy is fueled by faith and belief in the legitimacy of the American system. Trump did everything he could to undermine and pollute that faith and belief though I sometimes wondered how he could have been so blind to what he was doing to innocent people. If it benefited him it was right for the country or so he believed.

The great miracle of this country is the uninterrupted transition of power from one President to another which has gone on since the 18th century - something that you may experienced in a past life as it was so powerful.

I'm sure there are people out there who feel a burden lifted from their shoulders today as they watch others on TV or other media dancing in the streets and celebrating Biden's victory - a victory for the country.

Biden is a man who has met his moment and his destiny as an American leader that we need in a time of catastrophe and crisis. He has prepared for this moment his entire political life whereas Trump never wanted to be president - he just wanted to run for office and make money as a result.

Trump will concede the election and on January 20th - if not earlier - leave the White House as millions celebrate. Joe Biden will swear the 35-word oath at noon on January 20, 2021 and American democracy will be renewed. The hinge of history will swing open as a new chapter of the American saga begins.

Between now and then the country will suffer a cold winter with Covid. We will see chaos and institutional vandalism from Trump knowing it is all coming to an end. All we can do is hope for the best and plan for the worst. There are a lot of far right factions out there who have been influenced by Trump and social media to act out if he loses so we should remain vigilant.

Reckoning will come for the Trump family for what they have done to the country. He will grant a federal pardon to others close to him but as I learned yesterday - he would have to hand over the presidency to Pence who can then pardon him after which he can take back the presidency for his remaining days he's in court trying to declare the election a fraud - something he will always believe. Back here in the Southern District of New York Trump faces state prosecution. He doesn't have a good track record in court.

More books will be written by those who experienced Trump's administration first hand as the truth about it continues to dribble out like a leaky faucet. Maybe then some of the people who believe in him and his policies will understand how he was actually driven by self-interest.

Trump's plan is to continue in the limelight and some form of media - most likely on a daily basis but we shall see about that.

The country will celebrate New Years Day with hope for the future and an end to the Trump regime.

I just came back from enjoying this beautiful autumn weather. In the elevator I met a neighbor - a black man who asked who I had voted for - so I proudly told him. I couldn't see his expression through his mask but I could feel his energy as this is not what he wanted to hear so I diverted to this thought ... "before long Kamala Harris will show the country that she is also a great leader." He looked at me and smiled through his mask his squinted eyes expressing that he saw a light at the end of the tunnel. He was happy to acknowledge that she will lead the world.

Around the city and the country people are celebrating Joe Biden's victory in song and dance and peaceful gatherings ignoring the fact that Trump could stir up his followers to acts of violence.

We will remember this day for as long as we are here. We are finally awake.

Trump may not want to move on but the world has. Republicans in the Senate who have been cowardly and sycophantic admit that there is going to be a new president as Trump becomes increasingly irrelevant.

European diplomats expressed relief that the next U.S. president would treat them as allies instead of rivals, while Vladimir Putin of Russia seemed to be preparing for a more acrimonious relationship.

The Georgia runoff for the Senate now becomes huge. If Democrats can win both seats then they've got everything in terms of power.

Political dramas continue and will never end but at least now we can start to turn things around.

I read politicians - foreign and domestic - most of whom are scared these days. What we discuss is confidential unless something like this happens ... I kept running in Democratic Congressman Max Rose as he campaigned in my area. About a month ago he took me aside - stuck his palm out in front of me - as many people do - and asked what I saw for him. I looked ... I "listened" and quickly said, "Your career line shows a change in direction." He turned to his assistant and said, "Whoa!" as I walked away not wanting to engage further. Rose lost to Nicole Malliotakis on Election Day.

I know how upset Trump supporters are going to be after he loses. There's a whole bunch of neighbors in my building who support him. When they asked what I "see" I told them Biden will win but they laughingly look at me like I'm some old lady neighbor though they know better. Then they tell me Trump's going to win by a landslide after which I walk away.

I understand why people favorite one candidate over the other but we know the reasons Trump has to move on. You can always follow him on whatever media outlet he aligns with after he's gone. In truth it's more about ego for him than fighting the good fight.

Psychological profile :: Trump has said, "I whine until I win," something that may have worked for him with his parents but not as a world leader in 2020. He has spent his entire adult life bending reality to his liking, bulldozing his critics, imposing his will just by the sheer force of personality, and getting what he wants by manipulating truth. He is not the answer for any kind of future. You know that I believe we are on borrowed time but whatever is left as the earthquakes increase exponentially along with the climate - his time is up!

If you work as a Life Coach or the like - or as a Psychic - what would you tell Trump?

I could see myself saying, "When are you going to pay for your session?"
