Most people in creative professions have money or a back-up system such as savings or a family member to pay bills. Creative professionals are highly competitive and often don't produce a sufficient income. I know what they say ... do what you love and the money will come. That's not necessarily true. You need a back up system. The same is true for the healing arts and metaphysics.

What's wrong with education systems? Most are as broken as every other system we confront today. The ultimate goal of education - from High School and above - should be to create freedom and independence. In today's world students want meaningful jobs often with the goal to change the world and make a difference. Not everyone needs to run up large student loans to achieve that goal.

Many of my clients have good jobs that pay well though never having had the opportunity or desire to attend college. They worked hard, trained hard, and made their way without a college degree. At the end of the day - regardless of what's on your resume - it's your skills, contacts, and programming that will get you ahead in this world. There will always be jobs that require college and above but they are not for everyone. In an age of online education they can be sought out later in life as most people change careers at least once in a lifetime. It's not about college it's about professional education that will make the difference.

This month thousands of students will graduate from high school and college in hopes of finding an entry-level job. A good school should have prepared them with some sort of internship to help them along the way. It's not easy and can take years to find a career that aligns with one's programming.
