Somber warnings temper hopes about a fall return to school - and normalcy

The Golden Rule

May 13, 2020

Three months is a long time - or perhaps a short time - depending on your frame of reference. There's a lot that's going to happen between now and the end of August which takes us to climate change, natural disasters, finances, emotional problems and things that change the course of one's life path, especially students.

When my three daughters and I discuss their children returning to school in the fall - High School and University - I say very little because I'm not sure that's going to happen - yet they "see' it.

For many students this is going to change the trajectory of their future careers among other things that would have happened while they were attending class with peers. I am a big believer that students should spend time with people their own age as they are programmed to grow up within the same grid experiences.

We have no strong solutions. First we have to contain COVID-19 and whatever mutations it creates. That's going to take time which is running out on so many levels of existence. Tick tock!
