On a typical day in New York City one can expect anything to happen...especially when the world is preoccupied with its daily activities and issues.
There I was at the post office this morning at 9:30, mailing another bunch of books, when something felt wrong.
This was not the usual feeling one gets in the post office when the line is all the way down the room and there is only one person helping the people. This was different.
I watched the woman behind the window put on her white rubber gloves...bio-terrorism? Nope!
This was a feeling that something serious was going down but not in the post office. I looked up at Z immediately, as I always do. He was seated on one of his chairs watching events unfold. He has all different kinds of chairs, from a flying carpet to a throne, a King's throne that is..... Today he was on a director's chair. As Z did not seem particularly concerned, I mailed my packages and left the post office.
Just outside, police helicopters were flying overhead, and I mean overhead! I had not seen them that close to me since they were in the park just outside my home before New Year's Eve, when a man jumped off the bridge and killed himself.
I walked along and watched police cars driving up and down the streets checking out all the people!
As it turned out, a bank had been robbed one block away from the post office , 88th Street and 4th Ave.
I read the grid....the thieves were gone but I could see them apprehended later.
It has been very busy around here with clients as this is the beginning of the year. Many people like an annual reading for the year ahead, so January is always a busy month. What does this year have in store for you? Reading With Ellie
The next day....I received this email from a reader in Bay Ridge who lives near me.
It is with great interest that I have been reading and researching your lovely website since mid-August. I have often thought of requesting a reading with you. I feel so compelled to write today and request that reading now due to your latest posting on Ellie's World.
I, too, live in Bay Ridge and happen to drive by your apartment nearly every day to and from the Belt Parkway. I so love the Bridge and feel such a connection to it. I've nicked named her the "Almost Home Bridge", because whenever I can see her elegant arches on the road from any journey, I know I am almost home.
Monday as I was traveling south on 4th Avenue, I encountered the same bank heist as you! It was around 10:30- 10:40ish. Things looked strange to me by the diagonally parked marked and un-marked police cars and I noticed all the activity inside the bank as I got closer. It made me realize how you could have been right there at the same time and I didn't even know it! I'm sure this is a small town and our paths have probably crossed before. I happy to know we are neighbors.
I do so enjoy your website and your thoughts on many of the metaphysical things that interest me. I have had profound experiences with the supernatural, tones, prophetic dreams, etc. Your writings helped me understand better and put many things into context. Your style is excellent, relaxed, informative and assuring.
I would look forward to a reading with you in the near future to sort out some recent problems and an on-going test of faith.
Thank you,
Angela
