Lunar calendar was developed to predict the annual Nile floods. Calendar was based on the Dog star, or Siris.

Major constellations, such as Orion, and the Milky Way were discovered and mapped.

Some believe the Giza Pyramid complex was an attempt to reconstruct the Orion constellation on earth.

A number system based on 10 was developed. Medical science was far advanced for time with a text, the "Book of the Healing Diseases", being written.
