The Farewell Season of the Oprah Winfrey Show

Monday September 13, 2010

Whenever clients tell me they have an overwhelming need to heal and help the world, I always tell them the main reason they here is for their personal journey into awareness, working with others along the way, but ultimately responsibility mostly for their transition in time. The world teachers have been on the stage with few up and coming as time draws near.

Next I mention two people who have spend most of their adult lives working to raise consciousness - Wayne Dyer and Oprah. She is currently ranked as world's most influential woman. You might enjoy reading biography - it's fascinating.

We all know that life is about healing and awareness to bring clarity about the reality as a hologram in which we learn through experience. Oprah has done so much to that end. In 2007 she endorsed the self-help program The Secret, which people still tell me shaped their lives, though underneath it all - it is nothing more than basic synchronicity principle - the Law of Attraction - brought forth into the 21st century.

I know of few people who didn't watch the Oprah Show at different times in their lives. If you needed healing, it was the place too go. If you needed to learn, there was always something and someone to teach you. Her decision not to have children as she was married to her work, was ahead of its time, but a great choice for her. It made her a maternal figure to children around the world. Oprah invested $40 million establishing the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls near Johannesburg, South Africa. The school opened in January 2007 with an enrollment of 152 pupils and features such amenities as a beauty salon and yoga studio.

What has Oprah meant to you? How has she changed your life? How have you grown through the years?

Oprah's full name is Oprah Gail Winfrey. Her best friend since their early twenties is Gayle King, formerly the host of The Gayle King Show and currently an editor of O, the Oprah Magazine.

Monday Oprah kicked off the 25th season of The Oprah Winfrey Show. That's a lot of people's lives to touch over 24 years filled with fun, laughter, love and plenty of tears. "It's our season premiere, and we're on the 'love train' today!" she shouted.

As a fellow Aquarian, I have always connected with all-things Oprah, (January 29, 1954), who start the festivities, dancing onto the stage with one of her all-time favorite guests, John Travolta - another Aquarian (February 18, 1954) - their birthday's three weeks apart. John has appeared on The Oprah Show 11 times and said that being on Oprah's stage feels like coming home. John spoke the sentiment of the world when he said, "If I may be so bold as to speak for the public, speak for the world, you have this rare ability to inject knowledge, help, hope, love and art into the culture. Oprah, there's only one of you, and there will never be another one. You are our queen, and we thank you for allowing us to be part of your life. And we're lucky to be a part of your life."

Oprah loves the element of surprise - an Aquarius (Uranus) trait. On this day she was joined by an audience of 300 of her biggest fans - her Ultimate Viewers on a day filled with surprises. "You have all been on this wild ride with me every step of the way, and for that I have deep, heartfelt gratitude to you all. To those of you in this audience and those of you in the audience at home." At the end of the show, all 300 members of the audience had the best surprise of all - an all expense paid trip to Australia, with John Travolta flying the plane. In case you didn't know, John is a licensed pilot who has flown for years.

Great show ... let the energies continue. I'm sure you also know Oprah isn't retiring, she is will be on to new things in 2011, as will we all. Stay tuned for more surprises in every sense of the word, for the Ultimate ending (surprise) comes out of the blue and will be something that will even amaze Oprah.
