Coronavirus: The Wedding By The River

April 16, 2020

This month Coronavirus peaked across the country and in much of the world plunging people into a new way of living as thousands of people died, economies tumbled, White House leadership was questioned, and in most states people were quarantined at home.

Current client themes often have to due with cancelled events for this May and June. From graduations to weddings and other ceremonies people have looked forward to for years - they are coming up with creative ways to put a happy spin on things while making the most unique memories.

One couple stood beside a river as they got married, with those in attendance watching at safe distances. Nearby stood a tree with their initials carved in a heart they had created after he proposed.

The bride told me she made her bouquet from fresh flowers picked nearby, then threw it in the river after the ceremony as friends and family cheered and sent messages of love.

The wedding party came prepared with picnic baskets, blankets, music, then celebrated the bride and groom with a toast and of course there was cake depending on what you chose to bring.

Lots of pics and videos as the bride and groom drove off to their honeymoon ... sheltering in place at home for now.

Somebody brought a laptop and set up Zoom for those unable to attend the ceremony reminding me once again that we are having multilevel virtual experiences.
