DIY health care is on the rise but ... Medical Express - October 16, 2026
It's that time of the year when we question ... should we get flu shots, Covid shots, or anything else on the list of vaccines available? That is an individual choice based on one's ... medical history, belief in vaccines, lifestyle, intuition, and other factors.
The days are getting shorter in the northern hemisphere which exacerbates emotional problems especially depression. (S.A.D.)
We all know humans are a broken species/experiment created to illicit emotional reactions.
Mantra: Heal yourself by healing others.
Always keep in mind that someone you are trying to heal may not want your advice and feels that you are intruding into their space - whether physically or psychically. They may have nothing wrong with them but your need to heal creates that illusion in your mind. Be careful as that will backfire.
Also remember that people only heal when they are programmed to, so no matter what type of healing system/modality they try - it has to align with their DNA programming.
Today we also recognize that some problems either emotional or physical can never be healed - though people often rely on hope which is one of many Band-Aids, that keep the wheels (gears, synchronicities) of the simulation in motion.
You know the rules ...
- Remove all stress from your life if possible.
- You can say NO and not feel guilty
- Love is an emotion but is also a frequency. You can exchange this energy with others without constantly saying, "Love you" as you hear those words spoken by others but they do not come naturally to you as a daily expression that sooner or later loses their energies. Say it when you mean it.
- Whatever emotion you are trying to illicit in others it's probably something that's lacking in your programming and you want someone to say it to you.
- Avoid the crazies for they will destroy your understanding of yourself.
- Get therapy if needed.
- These titles all mean the same thing but with different degrees of training and professionalism. Psychiatrist (A medical doctor who can prescribe meds), psychologist, therapist, life coach, counselor, and the list goes on.
- Don't deal with anxiety by constantly pushing your body to be active in ways it may not be able. If it feels comfortable continue. If it leaves you feeling worse than when you started - Stop. Your body is telling you it's not for you.
- Do energy work as guided such as yoga (excellent for bipolar disorder), Pilates, or create your own system.
Did you know that most healers study various modalities and then create their own because it works for them and the people they are trying to help?
- Eat and sleep according to your biological and emotional needs.
- Avoid situations where everybody you're with has nothing better to talk about than their problems.
- Don't spend your life trying to fix others.
- Don't work as a professional healer if you're not 100% healthy - or after a certain age which for women is menopause. No matter what technique you've learned- once you combine your energies with somebody - whether in-person or remotely - you are taking in their Negativity and that's a fact!
- Healing when you shouldn't will activate cancers in your DNA and that's an important fact!
- If you've been reading my blogs since 1995, you know our mottos. "Keep it simple". "Either it works or it doesn't!"
DIY Healthcare
Many people rely on DIY healthcare - which if effective is great, but if not, one should consult a medical professional.
It's generally based on past experience and trial and error.
We also know the stories about finding the right doctor and getting the right diagnosis and treatment. Sometimes it works, and other times it becomes a quest as if one's programming is taking them on a health related journey that could be brief or last a lifetime.
DIY healthcare is an emerging trend where individuals take their medical care and wellness into their own hands using consumer-facing technology, independent research, and self-care practices.
Driven by factors such as health insurance, doctor shortages or long wait times for an appointment, rising chronic illnesses, and a desire for immediate, personalized answers, patients are increasingly bypassing traditional clinical gatekeepers to diagnose, monitor, and treat themselves.
The concept spans a wide spectrum, ranging from basic wellness tracking to highly complex - and sometimes controversial - experimental medicine. Consumers can purchase direct-to-consumer lab tests without a doctor's order but are they qualified to understand the results?
These tests can include comprehensive blood profiles, vitamin deficiencies, metabolic and gut health tests, and STI screenings.
It would seem the journey of humanity is all about healing and how a person gets there. Good luck and stay safe in the months ahead.
FYI ...
If you heal from your wounds and insecurities - you suddenly realize this was all a simulation of which you were a participant - willing or unwilling - but you've made it to the other side. Congratulations.
