Coronavirus and the Sounds of Sirens

Monday April 6, 2020 10:00am - Bay Ridge, Brooklyn

As coronavirus rages across the city - the mayor live on TV with updates - the now all-too familiar sounds of sirens everywhere - suddenly a different sound echoed through my neighborhood as fire trucks raced here stopping on the side of my building.

Like a little kid I watched them hook up the hose to the fire hydrant across from where I stood leaning over the balcony railing trying to get a better look.

Though I didn't smell smoke or see flames they obviously put out a fire or perhaps rescued someone.

Much of the world is quarantined due to the pandemic so I can only surmise the fireman resolved the issue as the ambulances drove away a few minutes later.
