On the matter of end time scenarios ...

Yes they are endless and one is as good as the next in a hologram. December 21, 2012 still resonates as a metaphor for closure but as time is an illusion and all other predicted dates in the past have been wrong, it's best to go with your instincts and what's happening in the world to know when the hologram ends - which happens out of the blue. Will there be an ELE (extinct level event)? Anything is possible ... probably .. and can all happen simultaneously. I blogged about a CME on Thursday morning posted below the link to Whitley's latest blog. Read on ...

If the World Ends, What Then?   Whitley Streiber - August 16, 2012
There are now a number of plausible end-of-the-world scenarios, enough to justify thinking seriously, and in a new way, what such an event might mean to us. It's easy to say, oh, well, that's it, then, we'll just be gone. That might not be the whole story. Before I discuss why I think that, I'd like to run through a few of these scenarios. I'll begin by saying that December 21, 2012 isn't one of them. Whether or not this date has any large significance is not presently clear. There is a lot of change taking place and it might, but if there was a world-ending mechanism involved, we would almost certainly see some indications of it by now.

There are three primary scenarios that we really do need to be concerned about: changes in the sun; the collapse of earth's magnetic field; and climate change. Any one of these factors could lead to an extinction event on earth, and if one takes place, we are going to bear the brunt of it. The reason is that we are large and very numerous, and therefore dependent on a stable planetary environment. If it is changed too much, we enter into an unrecoverable decline.

Moqui Marbles, Martian Spherules, Hematite Adventures

Moqui Marbles, hematite concretions, from the Navajo Sandstone of southeast Utah.
Scale cube, with "W", is one centimeter square.

I have no idea why the article below about the Moqui Marbles stirred my soul but it seems to have some ET meaning for me as if I was involved with them in another timeline linked to the beginning. It's mostly about their chemical composition ... Curious. (Ellie trying to remember ... going on a quest)

UNL discovery has implications for finding life on Earth, Mars   PhysOrg - August 16, 2012
Moqui marbles, unusual balls of rock that can be found rolling around the southwestern U.S. sandstone regions, were formed roughly 2 million years ago with the help of microorganisms. This discovery by a University of Nebraska-Lincoln research team has implications for finding life on Mars and for better understanding Earth's past. Moqui marbles, which range in size from BBs to cannonballs, weather out of sandstone and have a hard, round shell made of iron oxide, or rust, and a soft, sandy interior. Previous theories of their formation had suggested a chemical reaction devoid of life, but Weber's team discovered clear evidence that microorganisms played a role.

From Wikipedia - Navajo Sandstone

The Navajo Sandstone is also well known among rockhounds for its hundreds of thousands of iron oxide concretions. They are believed to represent an extension of Hopi Native American traditions regarding ancestor worship ("moqui" translates to "the dead" in the Hopi language). Informally, they are called "Moqui marbles" after the local proposed Moqui native American tribe. Thousands of these concretions weather out of outcrops of the Navajo Sandstone within south-central and southeastern Utah within an area extending from Zion National Park eastward to Arches and Canyonland national parks. They are quite abundant within Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument.

The iron oxide concretions found in the Navajo Sandstone exhibit a wide variety of sizes and shapes. Their shape ranges from spheres to discs; buttons; spiked balls; cylindrical hollow pipe-like forms; and other odd shapes. Although many of these concretions are fused together like soap bubbles, many more also occur as isolated concretions, which range in diameter from the size of peas to baseballs. The surface of these spherical concretions can range from being very rough to quite smooth. Some of the concretions are grooved spheres with ridges around their circumference.

The abundant concretions found in the Navajo Sandstone consist of sandstone cemented together by hematite (Fe2O3), and goethite (FeOOH). The iron forming these concretions came from the breakdown of iron-bearing silicate minerals by weathering to form iron oxide coatings on other grains. During later diagenesis of the Navajo Sandstone while deeply buried, reducing fluids, likely hydrocarbons, dissolved these coatings. When the reducing fluids containing dissolved iron mixed with oxidizing groundwater, they and the dissolved iron were oxidized. This caused the iron to precipitate out as hematite and goethite to form the innumerable concretions found in the Navajo Sandstone. These concretions are regarded as terrestrial analogues of the hematite spherules, called alternately Martian "blueberries" or more technically Martian spherules, which the Opportunity rover found at Meridiani Planum on Mars. Martian spherules have a blue hue in false-color images released by NASA in 2004.

From Ellie: Aha Moment I remembered ... The stones have to do with the 2009 film Knowing when the hematite stones lifted as the 4 beings of light and the children left on the UFO to recreate once again. This is like young Sarah and Alexander and the tree where they first meet by the old wooden footbridge at Twin Crossings - then return as the story ends and the new tree of light blooms spiraling them up into its light. It all goes to the closure of our hologram with a Coronal Mass Ejection ... sun speak ... the father, the son, and the ... beings of light. "Wow Signal"

  "Wow Signal" Google Videos

"Wow Signal" was a strong, narrowband radio signal detected by Dr. Jerry R. Ehman on August 15, 1977 while working on a SETI project at the Big Ear radio telescope of the Ohio State University. The signal bore expected hallmarks of potential non-terrestrial and non-solar system origin. It lasted for 72 seconds, the full duration Big Ear observed it, and has not been detected again, or not reported to the public. It has been the focus of attention in the mainstream media when talking about SETI results. Amazed at how closely the signal matched the expected signature of an interstellar signal in the antenna used, Ehman circled the signal on the computer printout and wrote the comment "Wow!" on its side. This comment became the name of the signal.

Was the Wow Signal our first detection of extraterrestrials? It might have been, but no scientist would make such a claim. Scientific experiment is inherently skeptical. This isn't just a sour attitude; it's the only way to avoid routinely fooling yourself. Until and unless the cosmic beep measured in Ohio is found, the Wow Signal will remain a What Signal.

The Wow Signal came from the direction of Sagittarius.

August 15 -- Flooding of the Nile

The annual flooding cycle of the Nile goes back to ancient times. It is celebrated by Egyptians beginning August 15 lasting two weeks, known as Wafaa El-Nil. Were it not for the Nile River, Egyptian civilization could not have developed, as it is the only significant source of water in this desert region. The Nile flows from south to north, to its delta on the Mediterranean Sea. The ancient Egyptians did not realize that the flood was due to rains on the mountains to the south. It was seen as the annual coming of the god Hapi. The rains would swell the different tributaries and other rivers that joined to become the Nile River, generally regarded as the longest river in the world.

In Egyptian mythology the Nile flooded every year because of Isis' tears of sorrow for her dead husband Osiris. The Nile was considered a gateway to an unknown world that opened at this time (metaphor - flooding - collective unconsciousness - creation). Orion is linked to creation and ancient aliens who came here in large space ships in the beginning, setting this program in place and creating huge stone markers - the Great Pyramid and the Sphinx on the GiZa Plateau. (Consider -- GP and S - Global Positioning System - GPS - to find a destination.)

In ancient Greek mythology - Perseus was the first of the heroes of Greek mythology whose exploits in defeating various archaic monsters provided the founding myths of the Twelve Olympians. (Note the number 12)

About The Perseids

Comet of Origin: 109P/Swift-Tuttle

Radiant: constellation Perseus

Active: July 17-Aug. 24, 2012

Peak Activity: Aug. 12, 2012

Peak Activity Meteor Count: Approximately 100 meteors per hour

The Perseid meteor shower has been observed for about 2000 years, with the earliest information on this meteor shower coming from the Far East. Some Catholics refer to the Perseids as the "tears of St. Lawrence", since 10 August is the date of that saint's martyrdom. The Perseids are so-called because the point from which they appear to come, called the radiant, lies in the constellation Perseus. The name derives in part from the word Perseides a term found in Greek mythology referring to the sons of Perseus.
