Virgo Transition 2011 - The Energies of 2012 Begin

Well here we are again on the brink of our annual Virgo Transition when all changes - from jobs, to education, to physical moves, to completions and beginnings of almost anything especially relationships and friendships, to the start of 2012 in Numerology, to the energies near the Jewish New Year 5772 (777) which are very powerful as they shift grids.

2012 and Virgo Transition will be far more
interesting year than anyone can imagine.

Virgo Transition signals to all souls ... "This is the time to make change." Can you feel it? It is interesting to say the least as is the biggest grid shifter of any other time of the year. In recent years we have seen Virgo Transition usher in ... the events of 9/11 and the recession of 2008 ... all creating scenarios that would affect the economy and the world in more ways than one.

In Virgo Transition ... once again students, who can afford it, head off to universities and institutes of higher learning, to plan a future. Remember what I blog each year - don't major in anything that doesn't result in a way to earn money after you graduate. Art, music, film, and all the fun therapeutic majors we all embrace and enjoy, must also be combined with a practical side to life, as the economy and job hunting are not easy, and school is expensive.

Look around and see how your life, and those of others, has changed in Virgo Transition in the past and what you expect to happen now.

Virgo Transition enters this year as Mercury Retrograde (repetitions and delays) exits - August 26th. Wait for it!

Tick tock ...

The 2011 Libyan Civil War is going to spread to the rest of the Arab World - not just those countries we read about earlier this year. The Middle East is set on fire. Europe has earthquakes and financial collapse along with the US. The people of the planet rebel... Nibiru does not return. Jesus does not return. Aliens do not return. We leave ... "Hasta la vista baby!" This program will not be renewed.

Crystalinks Turns Sweet 16

The way we were ....

On August 25, 2011 ... Crystalinks turned Sweet 16 ... and the journey has indeed been sweet, often mirroring humanity's journey in physical reality. When I think about how Crystalinks has enriched my life and those of its readers who have come and gone only to return as guided, it is worth all the time and effort put in. From the first blog I wrote the summer of 1995, introducing myself, Z, and Crystalinks ... to its current themes, so much has evolved, messages given and readers connecting. I've met people in all walks of life and had amazing adventures - with the feeling the best is yet to come. Email from readers ...

Zoroaster (Z) - The Inventor of Astrology

The Greeks understood Zoroaster to be the prophet and founder of the religion of the Iranian peoples. Zoroaster allegedly lived six to seven millennia BCE - Before Common Era, and was variously a king of Bactria, a Babylonian, or teacher of Babylonians.

Most importantly was their image of Zoroaster as a Sorcerer-Astrologer, and the Inventor of both Magic and Astrology. Deriving from that image, and reinforcing it, was a mass of literature attributed to him which circulated the Mediterranean world from the 3rd century BCE to the end of antiquity and beyond. The Greeks considered the best wisdom to be exotic wisdom and what better and more convenient authority than the distant - temporally and geographically - Zoroaster.

One factor for the association with Astrology was Zoroaster's name, or rather, rather what the Greeks made of it. Within the scheme of Greek thinking (which was always on the lookout for hidden significances and "real" meanings of words) his name was identified at first with star-worshiping (astrothytes "star sacrificer") and, with the Zo-, even as The Living Star. Later, an even more elaborate mytho-etymology evolved: Zoroaster died by the living (zo-) flux (-ro-) of fire from the star (-astr-) which he himself had invoked, and even, that the stars killed him in revenge for having been restrained by him.

Similar ideas about Zoroaster also appear in early Christian literature, beginning with the Clementine Homilies 9.4-5, which identifies him with a parallel series of traditions about Nimrod having been the Founder of Astrology. In this account, Nimrod is killed by lightning and posthumously deified by the Persians as "Zoroaster, on account of the living (zosan) stream of the star (asteros) being poured upon him."

The second, and "more serious" factor for the association with Astrology was the notion that Zoroaster was a Babylonian. The alternate Greek name for Zoroaster was Zaratas/Zaradas/Zaratos, which derived from a Semitic form of his name.

The Pythagorean tradition considered the mathematician to have studied with Zoroaster in Babylonia.

The Suda's chapter on "astronomia" notes that the Babylonians learned their Astrology from Zoroaster.

Lucian of Samosata decided to journey to Babylon to ask one of the Magi, Zoroaster's disciples and successors, for their opinion.

Ellie and Budd 2007

I met Budd Hopkins Budd Hopkins in 1989 when I joined MUFON in NY and he was the guest speaker. Our paths would cross many times in the years that followed. Budd was an American painter, sculptor, and prominent figure in the abduction phenomenon and related UFO research. He guided and inspired many of us with his work and dedication to disclosing the truth behind the UFO phenomenon. We hope his dream will soon come true. Whitley Strieber wrote ... A Man of Courage has Died.
