June 19, 2006, Darlene shares email and photos linked to sacred geometry and Loretta Chapel.
I just wanted to send you a quick note and photos from my trip to New Mexico. We visited several places in Santa Fe and the surrounding area, but one of my favorites was Loretto Chapel. I am sending 2 photos taken inside the chapel (note the orbs at the top of the staircase in the choir loft). This particular place had a very peaceful feel about it, and even though we visited other sacred places there, Loretto Chapel was the only place I noticed where people walked in the door and just quietly sat down and soaked up the warmth of the place (churches, in general, tend to leave me cold.)
All the best,
Darlene

This links to the Rose Window at Chartres Cathedral and my friend Stuart Mitchell in Edinburgh who created music called "Chartres" based on sacred geometry and linked to music recorded at Rosslyn Chapel.

Stained glass is an art and a craft that requires the artistic skill to conceive the design, and the engineering skills necessary to assemble the piece so that it is capable of supporting its own weight and surviving the elements.
