"A Storm is Coming" was said by William Bell, (Leonard Nimoy) in the TV series Fringe as a reference to the collision of parallel/alternate universes and perhaps all realities as we know them.
On July 23, 2010, as the sun moved into Leo, tropical storm Bonnie, was headed to the Gulf of Mexico where efforts to contain the BP Gulf oil spill were underway.
well here comes Leo in the Game of the Lion ... roaring fast and furious. Look out!
Past and Future

If we are experiencing in the Age of Aquarius, then based on the precession of the equinoxes, roughly 13,000 years ago we lived in the Age of Leo the Lion. Leo is a Fire sign ruled by the Sun taking us to light or the source of creation. That timeline is allegedly characterized by massive global warming, leading to deglaciation and a 300 foot rise in the sea level (Memo to the Others: flood stories, Anunnaki recall). Researchers believe the Sphinx was constructed in that timeline, or maybe none of it ever happened at all.

You no doubt know this well, but I only just discovered that the Vulcan gesture which accompanies the phrase 'live long and prosper' was actually modeled on the Jewish priestly blessing gesture analogous to the letter 'shin'. Given what you have been talking about on your blog of late, this seemed to me highly pertinent. In fact, it turns out that Leonard Nimoy himself created the gesture which Spock, his enigmatic character on "Star Trek", used in appropriate situations. Apparently Nimoy saw the Jewish rites performed at a synagogue when he was young and was very much impressed, the impression of this gesture remaining fixed in his mind's eye (ha! the mind's EYE indeed..).
With William Bell's assertion on "Fringe" last season that 'a storm is coming', I now accept the widening connection, looping back to Nimoy's other famous character and to Spock's use of the evocative 'shin' hand gesture. It is subtle yet, but there may emerge a more literal link of these two characters before too long, at least along 'mythological' lines... Seems as if a psychic line of thought does move in this direction now, however, come what may.
Here's a link to an article on this gesture and Leonard Nimoy's co-opting of it for the Star Trek series: The Jewish Origin of the Vulcan Salute
Many thanks, as ever, Ellie -- you are verily a mega-priestess, resolutely (with a twinkle in your eye!) leading the way (....out of here, into the darkening blue..)...
Sincerely!

Vulcan Salute Wikipedia
Use of the Vulcan salute:
The Vulcan salute first appeared in 1967 on the Star Trek second season opening episode, "Amok Time".
In the pilot episode of Stargate SG-1, Major Ferretti teasingly greets Daniel Jackson with a Vulcan salute when they arrive on the planet Abydos.
The gesture is shown to be a greeting frequently used by Hiro Nakamura, a comedic character on the NBC science fiction drama Heroes. Note that in the story, Hiro's father is played by George Takei, who played Hikaru Sulu on the original Star Trek series.
The Major Arcana Card "The Devil" of the Rider Waite Tarot deck makes a similar gesture.
