I have found that many of the gay men I read and gay male friends, have an interest in Astrology. Why is that?
I have concluded that people seek answers from any form of teaching or divination that will help them heal and find answers as to why they are here. The souls must question as it seeks to make sense of this reality, its purpose becoming less about the physical and more about its greater truth.
To move into creation, is to move into the creative.
Gay men are often linked to creative careers and seek creative outlets in esoteric fields.
We all have the ability to get beyond emotional dramas and their frequencies and tap into higher frequency of thought.
For the gay man, often stuck in a world of 'drama queens', a natural outlet would be something that taps into both left and right brain thinking.
The answers are written in the stars ....
Astrology is a great tool to that end. You start, as one would with Tarot or any other tool of divination, with rote learning, the left side of the brain.
After feeling comfortable with your results, the brain automatically 'switches' to the right side, intuition, to get more information, as it learns to trust and becomes more confident.
The same holds true with healing modalities such as Reiki, as the non-healer all become healer, to a degree, by taking courses and believing. There is nothing right brained and intuitive about Reiki .... but .... after a 'time', the right brain will 'kick in' and incorporate what it is 'hearing' or 'seeing' to bring the healer messages.

My name is Brian. I'm 25 years old, a Leo, and I live in Lowell, MA.
I have been a daily Crystalinks reader for almost two years, and I direct everyone I meet to Ellie's website! There is nothing that compares to her work. Bravo!
I could go on forever about my life, but I'll be brief. Like most people in my generation, my life has been a roller coaster... divorced parents, one with alcoholism and mental illness, disabilities, ADHD, problems at school, too "sensitive"... and so on. I have always had a strong intuition, and was only 14 when I started studying astrology, tarot, numerology, etc. I also love to write, read, draw ... anything creative.
When I was 18, I "came out" as a gay man.
Nine days after her 49th birthday, and two months before my 21st birthday, my mom died of lung cancer. One year later, on my parent's wedding anniversary, my grandmother died from a brain tumor.
If I did not have some kind of interest in metaphysics, and had relied on my Catholic background, I probably would have lost my mind. My mom and grandma were my pillars of support, and losing them so close together has been an emotional challenge you could say.
I have an Associate's Degree in Human Services and have spent the past 8 years bouncing around in different jobs. Nothing I have attempted to do has given me a real sense of purpose, and I have come to the conclusion I need to strike out on my own.
My dream is to start a spiritual center, bookshop and cafe, write a book, and mainly spend my time studying astrological charts. Astrology is just another way to read symbols and interpret what you find, and I enjoy doing it immensely. I feel my intuition doing all the work when I'm studying charts and the writing just flows out!
I also hope to write about my journey, especially about my mom who was working on a book. I would like to finish it for her. She was a special needs teacher until a car accident left her handicapped. She taught herself how to use a computer and started writing. Her greatest dream was to help as many people as possible, and hopefully by sharing our story I will continue her work.
I thought a lot about your question concerning gay males and the astrology connection. I think that a lot of gay people, especially young teens and adults, come to astrology and metaphysics with a unique perspective. Feeling rejected by a lot of "traditional" parts of their world for just being who they are, there is an urge to look up and "outside" the box and find other answers and explanations to the big questions-Who Am I? Why Am I Here?...and so on. Astrology is one of the easiest subjects in metaphysics to become interested in, as it is widely popular. One of the first "new age" books I ever purchased was on astrology. On a deeper level, astrology became more fascinating to me because it encourages the "reader' to look at what is out there (so called "outer space") and see the connection to what is in here (what is within). Of course, neither one is a single snapshot in time. Both keep changing, therefore you ask, "What's next?" As a teacher, Ellie, I'm sure this is when you would jump up, and go "Aha! Now you're learning!"
I love to receive email, so please feel free to email me.

Hi Ellie, Today you posted an image of train tracks and wrote about gay males with interests in astrology. I just read a book written by astrologer Frank Andrews' sister, Terry Iacuzzo, called Small Mediums At Large: The True Tales of a Family of Psychics Terry is a gay psychic and so is her brother. They live and work in Manhattan. Terry has some fantastic tales. Here's a synchronicity for you. The day she started doing readings, she hung a picture of railroad tracks just like the image you posted, and said she would stop doing readings when the tracks disappeared ... Hmmmmm ... It's a funny book that I am sure your gay clients would love and just about anyone else with a sense of humor. Sending lots of love on your adventure through time.

Trains, like all other vehicles, boats, cars, planes, represent life paths. To move slow is to get nowhere. A speeding train, you move quickly. The train tracks symbolize half of the 'X' where as is above meets so is below, forming the hourglass or 'X' of time, the old X, Y, Z of alchemy, stir in a pinch of gold [blood, DNA] ----> Zero Point Merge. Leave your baggage in 3D, you won't need it where we're going.
