Fashion Week Comes to NYC

Monday September 13, 2010

Let's start the week with something light ... something that could reflect positive change in the economy and retail sales. I am busy with clients from near and far now, here for Fashion Week in the city. Their areas of expertise range from models, designers, hair stylists, make-up artists, business professionals, photographers, editors, one client sets up runway platforms, and the list goes on. The excitement runs high as everyone hopes to do business in a bad economy. These are truly fascinating people - all creative - and engaged in a very competitive field. Fake boobs ... maybe for some of the girls but not all.

This is a party week in the city if you can get an invitation though I don't plan to go this year.

I wonder how many of the people there Tweet?

Everybody texts ... it's like a disease. I can understand why some people text a short message, but some people go about this all day. Not my generation and that's another blog.

I know that most of you have not walked the runway but I did back when I was 17 years old and a freshman in college. It's not much different than you see on TV or in the movies, but really hard work for the money.

One thing that has changed since my modeling days is the age of the models. Female, as well as male models stay fit and remain great looking for decades. There are so many ways to get that way ... from healing your emotional issues which brings a healthy look to your body reflecting your soul and direction. There is nothing better than looking good and feeling good. It's a high into itself.

The way you look now, is the way your soul feels. From tired to glowing ... it's all there.
