18 and Voting for the First Time in This Decisive Election

Monday October 10, 2016

If you were an 18 year old college freshman, with a 4.0 average, who would you vote for US President on November 8, 2016 - Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton? This is an important question facing students in the many universities across the nation especially those whose futures could take them into politics and the legal system.

Last night the second presidential debate took place at Washington University (Wash U) one of the colleges my grandson Michael was accepted to before he went with his first choice Boston College. Here he is at a BC game Saturday - Boston College at home vs Clemson University (SC). His parents recorded the game then snapped this pic as Michael (white shirt) told them (sensed) he would be onscreen.

His freshman class have the opportunity to vote for the first time, but like Michael, most are not from Mass. so not registered there unless they go home.

When you look at the pic it's great to know that in the chaos of our reality there are students out there who are enjoying life and planning for a bright future while the rest of us adults (?) process differently.

Michael and I have talked about the upcoming election and reality as a hologram. He gets it all but is only 18 when one has hopes and dreams and lots of fun as while keeping up a 4.0 GPA.
