Memo from Chau: Laurie found an amazing tour guide named Steven who took us touring in style in a Mercedes white van. En route we made a quick stop at the local market where Karen sniffed out the best local hot sauce, Michael and Bo bought flip flops for $6 and we got snacks for our road trip.

Zipping right along ....

We started strong with ziplining ... not 1 ... not 2 ... but 10 ziplines. This crew was fearless. We not only did traditional ziplining sitting up ... we did the 'Superman' and the 'Upside down'. Suspended above a zillion feet of jungle ... we were flying with the monkeys. It was amazing! If you could hear Laurie's screaming you knew it was a good time ... or maybe we just scared the heck out of the monkeys.

Next activity, a snack with homemade bread and cane sugar juice. This was followed by the longest blue water slide you have ever seen. Sorry no pics of this event ... these people were coming down too fast for my photography skills.

We enjoyed a lunch buffet with locally prepared dishes including Karen's newly found hot sauce. We weren't sure what we were eating but you know...when in Rome... Next up a choice of riding horses or a tractor up to waterfalls. A few moms/boys took the horse route and other half went tractor. We believe Chris's horse may have had a little too much caffeine as he nosed and pretty much pooped his way up to the front...ewwww.

We hopped off horses and continued to hike up to the waterfall. It was breathtaking. Even the boys appreciated it's beauty. Btw pictures are deceiving. It looks like we weren't that close to the waterfall ... it was blasting us like crazy ... with yours truly trying to hold it together for the pics.

Playing in the Mud .... The Spa

The final destination was initially for the moms but the boys seemed to get into it too. A little outdoor spa treatment with sauna to open pores, self service mud, a refreshing outdoor shower followed by 4 varying temperature natural pools which you know this group had to try out. Jack might have gone a little overboard on the mud as he closely resembled either the incredible hulk or green giants little brother Sprout. You be the judge.

Memos from Chau: After yesterday's packed day, we decided today was a day of relaxation. We had our usual decadent breakfast followed by some pool and beach time. Big surprise for the boys was a private Catamaran for an afternoon out on the water and sunset cruise.

We enjoyed an afternoon heading out in search of some good snorkeling. Our crew found the spot and yours truly ever enthusiastic to be hang tough with the boys might have over estimated my mermaid abilities.

As the boys, Zsia, Tracey and I set out I realized a quarter of the way there hmmm that's a really long distance to swim ... and wait ... I have to swim back? No can do people. My swim coach Zsia came back with me to ensured she didn't have to enact an episode of Baywatch and we had Aly on standby in case she had to do an ocean rescue. In my defense it wasn't a drop anchor and look at fish. It was a drop anchor ... swim a mile and then look at fish. I missed those middle instructions. I decided to go back to the boat with the other moms to enjoy a refreshing drink was the way to go. Who's with me on that?

After snorkeling, we had an afternoon snack of freshly made guacamole,
tortilla chips, pound cake and fresh sliced pineapple. I might have gotten one chip
and some pineapple. I was scared I'd lose a finger with how hungry those boys were ...

We enjoyed the rest of the afternoon listening to music on the
water and watching the sun set as we returned to the hotel.

just above us that we saw from end to end. Magical ...

Before returning to our rooms, to get ready for dinner, we went for a night dip and played basketball in the pool. At dinner, we sang a scary rendition of Happy Birthday to Max. Except for Aly, in our minds we sounded a lot better. After dinner we enjoyed a Michael Jackson Revue show. Our group was going to enjoy and experience every part of that inclusive resort ... definitely getting our money's worth!
