The History Channel always replays old episodes of Ancient Aliens which I generally pass on ... until last week when they aired a show from December 2020 called 'The Galactic Keyhole'.

Tagline: "The mysterious symbol of the keyhole exists in mystic texts, sacred architecture and ancient artwork found all over the planet. Could this cryptic shape represent a profound connection to the cosmos? And is it a clue that was left behind by extraterrestrials who visited Earth thousands of years ago?"

The keyhole archetype is found in iconography across the planet. As I watched the episode I suddenly remembered why I was drawn to the keyhole shape.

Recently I decided to replace the ornaments on my pull chain fixture. Searching for vintage ornaments on eBay I found the crystal ball and bought it ... but something stirred ... so l kept searching and there it was ... looking like a pendulum ... the silver ornament. It was perfect so I bought it.

I just thought of a silly moral to this story ... Don't let anybody yank your chain.
