The Thirteenth Floor
At the end of this clip from the film,
Vincent D'Onofrio asks, "Hey! What did you do to the world?"
Craig Bierko replies, "Turned it off."
This is what I have always believed I am here to do. Every day I feel more disconnected from events in the program as if a fading memory. When I see people rushing about, it's almost like they know it's going to end and they want to have their last experiences, or to complete their Karma .. now definitely an outdated concept.
Thursday April 7, 2011 -- I woke up with a start and looked at the clock on the night stand: 4:22. Falling back to sleep, I heard, "Write this down." [Ellie scribbling in the dark.] "4:22 is a date not a time. Something big is going to happen and no one will see it coming." I fell back to sleep immediately.
Friends and I often talk about the way people communicate these days - no longer using a phone as much, but text or email. I'm a phone person but love the brevity of texts.
Back in the day, I would receive lots of regular mail each day, but not anymore. Everything is electronic - from business to personal - with few exceptions. Many days I don't go to the mailbox.
In 2010, I bought the Samsung Epic and really enjoy it, but don't use it the way the average person on the go does, as I work from home. These phones are computers and very cool.
I love blogging and working on Crystalinks, but not reading email unless very short and the subject matches the text in the email. I currently publish three blogs most days -- Ellie's World, Crystalinks Home Page, and Crystalinks Ezine, then there's archiving, editing, and cross referencing. That's enough typing and I plan to slowly down especially as time is running out.
