Stone Spheres

Across planet Earth one finds ancient and mysterious stone spheres - some small - others massive. Most are natural formations - created by spheroidal weathering - while others appear to have been created by artificial means - their purposes unknown.

Many of the spheres created by weathering may have later been made into perfect spheres by ancient cultures.

Ancient alien theorists believe some of the more perfect ancient stone spheres are connected to extraterrestrial visitors from Earth's past.

Stone spheres are one more mystery for humans to explore as they seek to uncover their hidden past and origin story. The circle, or perfect sphere, is a symbol of completion.

Stone Spheres of Costa Rica

The stone spheres of Costa Rica are an assortment of over 300 petrospheres in Costa Rica, on the Diquis Delta and on Isla del Cano. Locally, they are also known as bolas de piedra (literally stone balls). The spheres are commonly attributed to the extinct Diquis culture, and they are sometimes referred to as the Diquis Spheres. They are the best-known stone sculptures of the Isthmo-Colombian area. They are thought to have been placed in lines along the approach to the houses of chiefs, but their exact significance remains uncertain. Continue reading

Bosnia Stone Spheres

Archaeologist Semir Osmanagich believes this stone sphere he found in Bosnia in 2016 is the most massive in Europe to date. He believes it might be as old as 100,000 years. According to Osmanagich, stone spheres in Bosnia come in four different materials - granite, volcanic stone, sand stone, and lime stone. They come in different sizes and in many cases weigh more than one ton. Many contain quartz crystals which amplify energy. Watch the Video

Stone Spheres and the Temple of the Feathered Serpent

In 2013 hundreds of mysterious golden-colored spheres were found buried in a hidden chamber deep beneath the Temple of Feathered Serpent - aka Quetzalcoatl, in a stretch of a 2,000-year-old tunnel on the Teotihuacan site, near the Pyramid of the Sun. The spheres appeared to have been rolled in pyrite dust (fool's gold). Archaeologists say they have no idea what the spheres were used for. Some believe they a form of light glittering near each other in the tunnel.

Avi Loeb Extraterrestrial Hunter

In June 2023, Harvard Professor Avi Loeb an Israeli-American theoretical physicist announced that the Galileo Project he started in 2021 - to search for extraterrestrial intelligence or extraterrestrial technology on and near Earth - had found interstellar material (spheres) on the ocean floor that he asserted could be remnants of an extraterrestrial starship.

If this and other objects that fell to Earth contain materials of unknown origin - it lends itself to the theory of panspermia. Nothing extraterrestrial really matters, unless it furthers our understanding of who we are and why we are here. A design or message etched into the stone would make this more interesting.
